    I've found wood screws throughout the car holding interior bits and even on the bonnet holding a patch section. The ones on the bonnet are about 5 times as long as they need to be and protrude from the bottom about 50mm. Mad Max style. Here's some that secured the fuze box to the body.

    She makes a good point, it will take you ages to get it on the road and I can see the appeal of outsourcing most of the work. It'll bring you joy sooner rather than constant frustration. That's not to say that spending time working on the car isn't considered fun and many enjoy this more than the actual ownership of a functional car. It takes all sorts.

    Looking at who's responded, there will be other Z's. Spread the word off forum guys, would be nice to see a good turnout. The route takes us through some of the nicest scenic roads in the south of NSW and it's a real shame to keep your car locked up on a Sunday! Also, if anyone owns a two-way radio please bring it along, it will help with keeping us together. On that point, we will stop at key locations to regroup so have no fear of getting lost or left behind and as always, drive at your own pace and don't let anyone pressure you into speeding.
