  1. This is something that I really find hard to understand, something like a national event I would think that they would want all cars or certainly as many as they can muster. It sometimes looks to me as though they are worried they will lose members to the young shiny new upstart. This was why I was against the affiliation some months ago as it seemed to me as though there only intention was to gobble up AusZcar and eventually have everyone forgetting about it. Diversity is what makes life interesting, I still don't understand why they (NDSOC) don't send emails to the moderators letting them know of events to pass on to others here, rather the members from here I find usually copying and pasting what they have read or heard elsewhere. That to me smacks of contempt, what is it about this club that they don't want around, is it that it's free?? is it that we don't all hold CAMS licences?? is it that we don't all have concourse rated vehicles??. I mean do they think that we might bring them down in some way. From what not just the poster of the thread but some others have said in the past things don't seem to have changed much and the NDSOC really don't care too much for those not involved in there club. It could be a financial thing then again it could be more of a status thing where they see most Datto owners not just Z owners as inferior if they are not a member of there club. Like I have said I personally don't know them but from what I keep reading from members here I don't really think that's a bad thing.
  2. As well as a constitution, which I happen to have if you want to borrow it you will just need to change a few terms from F6 Owners Club to AusZcar. It's not that difficult just take a bit of time running around getting pepers signed and checked then put in your application and you're their before you know it. I'd be happy to see this club going to an Assoc. Inc.
  3. Ye pop up sunroofs are shit, electric are pretty cool though
  4. That looks hawt mait lol Well I'm off to rego Monday and after seeing this I really can't wait to get my wheels and flares on, but i think I'll be doing a brake upgrade to the fronts at least to fill up the wheels lol. That really does look good Lu, maybe it's the white so I'm thinking I might respray mine black seeing as we already have a red ZG flared Z in the club. Well done
  5. Good to see you're on the ball Sool
  6. We do a toy drive for Christmas with the Salvos at AFF, that could be an option, I can get more info if you guys are keen and you know the toys will definitely be going to needy kids.
  7. Should be good, why not, make it 6
  8. I could have sworn your pants were on the whole way back
  9. Hmmm something you're not telling us their Lurch
  10. Got some things that I don't need so figured I might put them up here, I will have some other bits but haven't been to check for ages what's still in the boxes, will do that over the weekend and get some more pics, I know there are a couple of carpet sets in average sorta conditionbut can't remember what else. Would prefer pick up, mail would be at your cost obviously, just pm me or call me on 0419 383 759. Anyway the current list goes like this: Instruments minus tacho, all work as far as I know, say $150ono I have 3 distributors, all points type, make me an offer on 1 or all 3 A couple of alternators and starter motors, same deal make me an offer A pair of Hitachis still attached to the manifold, I'd like to get around $150 for these mainly only for the manifold, the carbies you can have free Fuel rail likely to be off a 260, around $50 3 radiators, condition unknown so maybe $30 ono each a pair of inside door handles, $25 each they are in pretty good nick also a pair of matching sunvisors, $25 each also or make me an offer for the lot factory air cleaner cover complete, these are getting hard to come by so $100 ono some surface rust but nothing a trip to the sand blasters and a powder coat later wouldn't bring right back up, or just use some paint remover and paint it yourself for around $30. Complete l28 injection set up including manifold, injectors and rail, harness, ECM, and air flow meter, as this would make a complete transplant for someone to convert to EFI I think $400 is a fair price considering you might pay that just for the loom and ECM Also have a console, good condition has crack around choke slot, $150
  11. Sounds like a do'er 99.9% in.
  12. So what are you saying their, you don't want us coming to your birthday?? :'(
  13. Same, I'll be going over tomorrow to help out a little but should be ready for rego by the end of next week (fingers crossed) besides they need the hoist so they got stuck into it.
  14. Would be more like 2 nights if it was going to be a full day thing. Hey RBZ what about somewhere near the bay, there is a pretty big park out their isn't there?? Also I think if you were wanting more interstaters maybe mid Jan as most would be on holidays around then so could find the time. just a thought
  15. Is it a possibility or a certainty?? Might just help others decide Oh ye forgot about Van Diemens Land or aka Tazwegia, fellas I rekn it'd be great to get the whole country in if they wanted but it just seemed easier to get at least two or three.
  16. Well how about then Melbourne, Sydney and Can(t)berra meet up in Holbrook, it's around half way for those that don't know, we could get one with the submarine in the background. The streets are plenty wide to even run them two in a row if we need to, but where else in the world (well Oz anyway) can you get a photo of so many Zeds in front of a sub sunk in dirt?? The added bonus is the long drive and the fact that we could catch up with at least some of the interstaters, leave around 7am to get their just before lunch, have a BBQ and a general street show. If we organize it around Jan/Feb would also be daylight savings time so could sit around much longer and not really have to set off till maybe around 4:30-5:00. If we organize it through the local council and police we may even be able to get the cars in the grounds, have kind of like a Tri-State Z meet/greet/show, possibly even do this annually if it we get enough interest and support from the locals. This could be a bit of a tourist boost for them so maybe we could put it that way in a proposal to the local council. It's just a thought, big one I know the brain is quite sore especially this early in the day, but one that could really turn into something big.
  17. Who?? What?? Why?? Where?? de-abbreviate plz
  18. Mine should be on the road next week (well timed as the XW goes off the road same time LOL) so +1.
  19. That looks neat and near factory, however with these types of hose you need to make sure they do not collapse under acceleration as some do, but ye looks good.

There you go Stevo can even go and have a sticky beak for you, it's going so might not need much for reg.
  21. What about a nice relaxed Sunday drive out to Heathcote, you could get the ball rolling with a nice relaxed drag racing session and have a good chat about it all at the same time. Still plenty of time before the end of the year so maybe late Novemeber or early/mid December.

    Buy/start up budget??
  23. Maybe even start the season off with a drag meet to see who's is quickest, down a straight line of course but that's the power side of things, then see how well everyone does round corners LOL. Possibly even finish off with a drag meet to see if anyone has improved there time and by how much from the circuit work, changing gear at the right time is more important than having the most outright power.
  24. I think 6-8 rounds might be optimistic possibly max of 4 might be easier for everyone to do, you could have 2 hill climb events and 2 full track events, possibly even throw in a drag event just for a laugh. But I must say I like the cut of your jib.
  25. Very few of those "owner built" magazine cars are actually built by the owners, sure they had a hand in some of the work and helped position the engine while hoisting it in, probably even helped push it into the spray booth, but to finish cars to those standards takes a pro, and a pro takes cash...some accept card. I'm not rich, in fact that's why I'm selling some of my cars at the moment is to finance finishing the others, just coz I'd rather pay someone to do it right doesn't mean I love or enjoy my cars any less.
