To clarify on what I put in my earlier post, the use of ethanol based fuels can be detramental to vehicles that are not driven on a regular basis as this does not evacuate the system of any contaminants such as water that may be in the fuel. The examples I gave were those of vehicles that were not driven on a daily basis, using the vehicle on a daily basis should clean most of this out. Exactly, this is what will make major service and even rebuilds more necessary, if they are not properly lubricated then they will need more regular servicing/replacement...................that may actually negate any savings to the environment as the parts needed to be replaced have a further effect on the environment during there own manufacture process. A perfect example of just what this is doing to worl prices is the current increase in oil, this can be directly linked to the fact that bio fuels are being used more and more so the dependance on oil is becoming less, they need to make there money before they become unnecessary. They can't grow sugar in the desert sands. The way the Howard government went straight in and gave huge subsidies to certain growers to produce cane for fuel is a perfect example of just how innefficient the process actually is. The only way they will be able to continue production after any subsidies are pulled would be to increase the price of the raw product.................... so how does that change us from our current dependancy on oil based fuels, the prices will continue to rise no matter what we use. It is actually possible if set up correctly to put power back into the grid at the end of every billing cycle giving you a refund, but no government would ever tell you this as they woul then have to be paying us for there own power. I know this because when I worked for a battery company years ago a couple of guys that used to buy our big "Solar Cells" explained that most set ups are just inefficent but if done correctly actually make you money.

You'd have to be nuts to use any ethanol blended fuels, they destroy carburettors as well as corrode the hard fuel lines and cause corrosion inside the tanks. If you drive the car daily it won't happen as quickly but if like most on here you drive the car only occasionly then you can cause damage to your fuel system because you're allowing this to sit in your tank and lines and carby for long periods. It actually attracts water and holds it but will seperate so will also add to poor performance, they say injection is best mainly because unlike a fuel bowl in a carby it doesn't hold the fuel so won't/shouldn't cause as much damage to at least the front part of your fuel system. A mate of mine over the weekend at Heathcote told me he uses Shell 100 which is an ethanol blended fuel in his drag car, they use ethanol to raise the RON rating, I told him he was nuts but then he said he flushes it all out after a meeting. He left it in their once and found that it made some of the components inside the carby go soft and actually had to rebuild the carby, this was after leaving it in their once and this is a purpose built drag car so doesn't get used much so like most of the cars on here sits around for extended periods. Keep in mind that it's the sugar cane industry in particular that is making a big push for this alternative fuel to be increased in the blends as they are the new OPEC and it won't be long before we see the cane growers of FNQ driving around in Bugatis and the like. Ethanol was meant to decrease the price of petrol, so far United is the only chain of servos that sell the blended fuels at a lower rate.

If they're scuffed up then you're probably better to have them re-plated.

Well I've asked him for a cross reference to the Dynapro caliper but haven't got anything back, I am going to buy the adaptor kit for now and then get onto the suppliers in the US to cross reference the calipers. It seems like no one is left from all of those that put there hands up in the beginning so I am no longer organizing anything through here, if you would like to get anything then you can do so yourselves by contacting the guy direct jskmachining@yahoo.com his name is Juan. -

For anyone that needs to know about the calipers and what wheels they won't fit/take then get yourselves over to HybridZ, they have quite a few people on their that use the JSK kits which is what these are so just put that into there search and you should get your answers. -

The other option is to get the adaptor kits for now and then order your calipers and rotors when you have the time and/or money if it is more of a financial constraint at the present. The kit only without rotors and calipers will be around $320 approximately shipped to your door and I think this will be the easiest way, there are a couple of suppliers in the US for the rest of the parts that are extremely cheap in comparison to Australian suppliers. If this is acceptable to all involved then he can set up a buy now paypal window on the site to make it easoer to order and pay for them. add your names LIST Stef -

Mossy the Rota copies will be a 17x9 and 17x9.5 in the same offsets, I have asked about the watanabes though, but I know the Rota wheels pass the wilwood calipers. Ok who is in, once we have all interested parties he will place a shopping cart on the forums and everyone can order through their with paypal. We need 10 people in order to get the discount which with the current calipers is about Au$910 shipped, this includes calipers, rotors and adaptor kits, if we can't get the 10 people then we are looking at approximately Au$1035 with shipping Do we have 10 people?? I will wait till the end of this week, that should be more than enough time for people to decide whether or not it's what they want and if there finances can handle it. Place your name on the list, if it hits 10 before the end of the week then I will get him to put the cart on sooner LIST Stef -

Just been in touch with them again recently (the last few days), how many of you are ready to buy now?? As for the rears he is looking to make a new handbrake set up that will utilise the factory cable, so maybe get this once it's done to complete the package. -
You could donate your last cent to the forum and I'm sure the guys that run it would be quite happy but that in no way gives you any right what so ever to treat people with the disresepct you have shown in your posts. If you would like for people to treat you with some respect then maybe you might want to try showing some first.

You sound like a pain in the a$$ pal, I wouldn't waste my time with you unless you laid down a very heavy deposit. Nowhere in your initial ad does it state "No Autos" I really think you need to sit your cheap a## down and work out what it is you're looking for so you can give people a clearer picture of what it is you are actually looking for. UNTIL THEN STOP WASTING EVERYONES TIME. thank you

And this response is no different, this guy is taking the piss, George I think you're right on the money Ok, what's your upper limit?? I will build you a car just like what you are looking for if you're serious, what exactly is the look you want?? You got an open cheque book?? let me know when you're serious, until then shut the F#$K up and stop bagging out peoples cars If you want a car give a clear description of what you want, don't be so vague then tell people there cars are crap after they aproach you I'm sick of tossers coming across like some kind of la di da bloody officianado know it all, people are offering you there pride and joy if it's not to your liking then get the F#$K over it and don't be so F$%^&*G rude about it

XRQTR replied to Toecutter's topic in Wheels and Tyres
Guys I've actually emailed the manufacturers and asked them to include shipping to Aus in their pricing, what I would like to know is how many of you would be interested. Keep in mind that anywhere under $2K is a damm good price for these types of wheels, but everyone has there own budgets of course, I said in my email that there may be a few interested from here to hopefully reduce the costs further otherwise if anyone knows of any shipping companies that may be able to help that might work as well. SO WHO'S IN?? -

Here's also a link to ZE Forged wheels, apparantly available at Jax Quick fit of all places, in case someone wants something like Mark Rosltons current wheels. I must say though the V12 would look way horn in a deep dish me thinks, whereas the Shifter would be a pretty cool resto mod kinda look. http://www.jaxquickfit.com.au/Wheels/zeforged.html# -
What do they look like, do you have any pics??
-
You might find it easier to find hens teeth.
-
Anyone from Melbourne interested in these I'll be off to Sydney tomorrow (pics to come) and back Monday night so if you want I could pick them up.
-
Do you have some pictures of the seats, I know I'm not too sure what these seats look like and I'm sure that others would be the same, cheers

This was the main reason I thought about selling, I didn't want 2 project cars at the same time for obvious reasons, but after letting the dust settle I thought it might be fun so decided against offloading the Zed for now.

PMSL I could only find my imperial guage set and couldn't be fluffed looking for the metris one, although by now the numbers are probably no longer visible anyway haha. Thanks for that
-
Whats that in imperial??

It won't be easy to let go but should bring a better dollar and make it somewhat easier to sell once it's registered.
