Also though, be careful as this is a scam used by smart car thieves, it's easy to get all the info they need such as where it is kept and and imobilisation devices you might have. As you say they are looking for bog stock restored cars so this makes me even more sus as this is what they would want in Japan, and it wouldn't be difficult to reg over their, papers are very easily forged. Or even salvage them out here in Oz they would still be worth alot of money in indivdual bits, especially if they didn't pay for them in the first place :wink: I could be wrong but it's always a good idea to check things out. A stroked and de-comped L28/31 I dare say you could make the same if not more than most RB25's. Don't forget it all comes down to how much you are willing to spend, a well set up N/A 31 sees over 300rwhp, throw a turbo on that after a decomp, some decent injectors, FMIC, give the head a bit more porting maybe a custom inlet and exhaust manifold ( which you would be able to adapt from other shelf items) and 500 comes on pretty quick. note: girdles come in handy at this point also as well as decent rods, bearings and pistons :wink: I am thinking about this route at the moment, although the blown injected Windsor will go in at some point I think this would be a good starting point for car that you can have a bit of fun with.

Nah the inlet manifold are the same on the L28ET as the L20ET. Sco_Aus you mean an L28 bottom end with the L20 top ye?? I don't think you can go the other way you suggested, can you??

Yes mainly to keep it looking original, but also because they are a cheap enough engine to get hold of, this as well as you can always throw the top end onto an L28 and keep driving. Throw something like a T3/4 and a good FMIC on and have some serious fun, as well it's not overly complicated in it's set up and wiring so making it relatively cheap to tune and maintain in comparison to say a later RB.

As the title suggests this is about the L20ET, in particular I am after information on the best mod's for these engines. I am after any first hand information on what you have done to one if you have ever owned or worked on one, what kind of power can they make with a decent bottom end and turbo. I have just recently bought one, L20ET that is, and the plan is to put it into a Z, which I don't yet have but when I do it will have a new friend to play with as soon as I get it home. I have not as yet set a budget for the build, I know that's bad LOL but I am wanting to see first what they are capable of before i decide how far to go. Well in that case I'm after a Z with all the engineering work comepleted for a V8 conversion, must be fully resprayed and re-upholstered in the colors and scheme that I want otherwise will not want it. Also must have the right wheels, sizes and tyres, not forgetting the brakes and suspension. Willing to pay up to $100 for the right car. Fingers crossed :twisted: :twisted:
