  1. Went over to my uncles place today for a visit, this is the main reason I took the car their as I don't go around nearly as much as I should really, anyway I trial fitted the flares and front spolier. The pics are from my phone cam so excuse the quality anyway this is the reason I have decided to hold off selling for the moment I just want to drive her at least once before I sell her so I may still sell her yet. The plan for now is to get her reg'd in the next month or so.
  2. Guys if you're interested make me a decent offer, pm if you prefer
  3. That's how much you were asking for in your first post, so how has it been dropped??
  4. I've got 2 heads pretty sure they were E88, I'll have to have a look, here's a pic though they are complete, I'll even throw in a set of plugs.
  5. Sold 3 weeks ago apparently
  6. Personally I'd never pay for a car through ebay, it's cheap enoiugh these days just jump on a plane and pay for it when you pick it up, still put it on a truck and fly back
  7. LOL I think Juan at JSK must read these forums LOL, I got a response this morning: Stef. I'm moving onto your request. I'm going to have a 3d image of the caliper brackets done as well provide a quote on the job. I will do my best to place the spot caliper bracket in an area that is ideal for cable hookup and not interfere with our current design. Right now I cannot provide the little tedious hardware for cable hook up. I'm hoping those who are interested there can help each other out with cable connection as I'm in a time constraint. So we will start with the basics and go from there. I will get back to you asap Thanks again - Juan So yeah this is where it stands at the moment I guess, I know I'm not in a great rush but in saying that I don't want to be waiting forever, I dare say they have alot on right now so we'll see how it all goes I guess.
  8. Guys I don't know whats going on with these people, I have sent them 2 emails in the past couple of weeks and not had a response to either of them. I personally am getting a bit tired of non responsive companies that come across all smiles to start and then go quiet as the time gets closer. I'm thinking maybe give them a little more time but if nothing comes of it then maybe go for the 4 pot nissan R32/33 brakes and get some brackets made up locally, the cost wouldn't be too much different and the spare parts would be a bit more easily accessibe. Anyway that's my feelings at the moment, just wondering what everyone else is thinking. Cheers Stef
  9. Also I should have said that if anyone is a member of any interstate Z clubs could they start a thread their also to see if we can get some more interested parties to increase the group number. That list again so far, add yourself if you're interested XRQTR - Stef Charlie Boy V8Datto Zedevan Thanks again Stef
  10. Hey guys, firstly sorry for the delays but I have been having problems with my internet for about the last month, secondly I recieved back an email from Meridian Motorsports and they can do no where near the price of the JSK list price. As for the billet dyna pro calipers I will have to get some pricing on them first. Now can I please have a list of those of you still interested, just copy the list, add your name and paste it in your reply post, thanks and again apologies for the delays. LIST XRQTR - Stef
  11. Guys sorry that I've taken some time, anyway I have spoken to Daniel at Meridian Motorsports and after chatting to him I think we may need to change things a little, he advised me that the Wilwoods do not have dust seals. This being the case they need to be rebuilt at each pad change but more importantly they will not pas ADR if you choose to go down that path. I have given him the part numbers of the calipers and rotors that we need and he is going to cross reference them to see what else we could use, possibly with the bracket kit. He suggested the Outlaw calipers which are actually cheaper but are equipped with dust seals so are lower maintanance, however if your intention is purely for race then the Wilwoods will be fine as otherwise you will melt the seals. Again I apologise for the delay, but want you to know that I am trying to do the right thing by everyone by getting as much info and facts as I can before we throw any money away. Cheers Stef
  12. The list so far: XRQTR Zedevan Scando eddii MyZisslow I only put the names that have shown interest to this point, if you have changed your mind and will not be participating in the group buy could you please let me know either by posting or pm'ing me, thanks. I will get onto Meridian sometime today or tomorrow to get pricing on the calipers and rotors.
  13. News just to hand................ he will make the rear single spot hand brake caliper brackets as well, total cost for the adaptor kits, both front and rear ( not including rotors and calipers ) with the discount will be $638.40 plus $38 shipping fee. As for the calipers and brackets Lurch has already looked into these here in Oz and has a good lead on the remaining parts which aren't very expensive. Who's in still so we can start to organize it all?? For those of you that haven't seen them here are some pics
  14. Ye look I'm still waiting on a response from this guy, so it's up to you guys what you want to do, I'm not in any rush so it's easy for me I guess, I will however shoot off another email before the end of the week.
  15. I sent him an email last week regarding the park brake caliper bracket but am still to get a response, like I said as soon as I know you guys will know. Alternatively Lurch might be kind enough to machine us all up some brackets, what do you say big fella??
  16. This Daniel fella any good with Mikunis??
  17. Sorry thats what I meant with regard to geometry, is that if you don't have them all at the correct and same positions then you will soon know about it when you try to re set your ride heights and take it for a spin around a corner. Distribution of weight comes into it all when setting your strut heights, unless you have a set of race scales to evenly distribute the weight over each of the wheels during adjustment you will only be using a measure stick of some description. You will soon know that your right front or left front isn't quite where it should be with regard to footprint on the road, then you will notice more pitch or roll in one direction as opposed to the other as they are at different actual heights even though to the eye they will look the same. All I'm saying is get it done by someone that knows what they're doing, if you're competent then that's fine but if you're not don't cross your fingers and hope for the best, safety is not one of the places you skimp on a build, any build.
  18. It all looks easy when done by a competent person, I'm not saying you're not but the most important things here are the welds and if you're not a very competent welder then you could quite literally be playing with your life. The easiest way would be to buy all the bits then take it to a suspension place preferably as they will understand more about the geometry and how it all works.
  19. If you're gonna do the socket thing then try to get your hands on a cordless rattle gun, it will save alot of strain LOL, oh and don't forget a spare battery
  20. Ash on here aka zr240 is his username, he did my ones and does them occasionally.
  21. Where are Stewart Wlikins located?? or if you have a contact number. Cheers bud
  22. Show me any aftermarket product thats ADR approved. There are but they cost an arm and a leg, even putting the Hilux or even later model Nissan brakes is technically non ADR as the vehicle never came out with them from factory so you would need engineers reports to say they have been correctly fitted and are up to the task for which they have been installed, or are at least the same or better than the factory set up. If you prefer I could go to the trouble of having them ADR approved but then you would be paying about $1500 minimum more per kit as the process is very costly and time consuming, oh and I wouldn't be doing that with just peoples word that they "might" buy them. Eddie it's up to yourself whether or not you want them, enough people use them and have nothing buit praise for these particular kits, check the link to the HybridZ search I did about what people in the US think of these particular manufactured kits and then decide for yourself. If you need it to be ADR approved then I could give you a list of engineers that could do an individual report for you and would no doubt pass them as we are now looking into the park brake caliper adapter also, without which you would need to use a line lock type set up which would most likely not be approved here.
  23. Hey Sooley just wondering where you got those R33 caliper brackets from. Are they off the shelf or did you have them made up?? Also I'm guessing the rears are R33 as well, or are they different again?? What would you be wanting for the suspension as well the brakes and wheels complete and individually?? Cheers Stef
  24. This is the email I got back this morning in response to some of the questions from yesterday, also he asks if the 1600 and 260 brakes are compatible as he has not ventured into them, if they are then we could get them on board as well to increase the numbers....... are they interchangable?? Also here is the link to the search I did on HybridZ, some good reading in their http://forums.hybridz.org/search.php?searchid=1190402 Stef, Simply search Superlite caliper pads and you will get all assortment of brake pad suppliers. Again details of piston diameter is provided at www.wilwood.com http://www.wilwood.com/Products/001-Calipers/012-FSL/index.asp I believe 1.75" for front and the rears use the same calipers but smaller diameter piston and rotor width. I have had my setup within 15" wheels but with a 4mm spacer. I suggest 16" wheels to help clear any issues but yes they will fit within 15" wheels. Caliper over hang is .75" or 19mm over hub. I have never dealt with the 1600 so I guess it just a question of weather the oem brakes interchange between both models. That I have no clue. Companies compete for your business so there are many companies that my brake setup will work with. I will venture into drawing up 3d image of the rear bracket for a spot caliper. Of course this will add cost to the kit. Anything I can do to help is what I am all about. I suggest going to www.hybridz.org and you will see the great praise on our products receive. And how popular it is to use race proven products such as Wilwood. Their internal parts are made to withstand heat vs Oem calipers. Wilwood is affordable and they are always improving their products. View here some of the 3d drawings I have done. This is a Wilwood setup for Nissan spindle 240sx 300zx 350z coming out this Sept. http://www.autobrakeworks.com/Nissan12.9.htm Let me see what I can come up with soon. Thanks ! Juan
