Hi, I'm looking for a L28 distributor base (the bit that goes between the distributor and the block), so I can put in my electronic dissy. Would he sell me such a small piece....does anyone else have one around. cheers racetek

Didn't take me long to find ZED24O , can't believe no one has it, or am I missing something. Anyway the plates are on the car, in black and white like they should be, and I still can't believe it :D

Hi, Finally had some time to spend on the new toy and I have already started to pull it apart. The fist thing I found was that the radio doesn't work. Its the original push button thing with the antenna switch on the side (Hitachi TM-1081Z). Does anyone have one of these things that work, does anyone know of anyone who repairs them, or can anyone suggest something to replace it with which won't spoil the dash or change the classic look. also, on another subject, can anyone suggest the best place to get the diff rebuilt. regards David

Well guys, it arrived on time, and very much as I expected it to be. Better in some areas, but no real surprises (bad ones). I still have to RWC and register it, so I only took it for a little run round the block (a few times) to get the feel of it. Boy have cars changed in the last 35 years. I can see a few things that need some attention. The choke doesn't work and the exhaust is too loud in the car, it needs electronic ignition etc etc, and some of the wiring is a little sus, but all in all I am pretty pleased with it. Had to leave her in the garage, since its Christmas eve and there are home duties to perform, but once the festivities are over I can see me spending many hours tinkering. Thanks guys, but I did notice the scam ad, and its not the first time it has happened to me. I bought another car on Ebay last year and the same thing happend. They are easy to pick, as they say in the classics...you get what you pay for. My car is now in Melbourne, according to the trucking company, and hopefully will be delivered tomorrow...I'll keep you informed.

Thanks for the replies, my car is 103634, engine no: L24189527, so it seems like it is near the end of the line, and yes, I did buy it on Ebay after some haggling with the owner. Still waiting for it to arrive, so hopefully there are no nasty surprises.
