  2. i had one of these engines(but single turbo) in a 2+2,very tight fit all round,had a 5 speed box,personally i think the Rb is a better route with more aftermarket parts available

SOLD_SOLD_SOLD_SOLD Decided to repower my 240Z with an RB26/30 and turbo 400 Seems a shame to pull apart a complete running conversion from intercooler to diff Details as follows RB30ET rebuilt completely inc injectors MX7 5 speed and new clutch T3 Garrett turbo rebuilt running 12 psi Bar and plate fmic Bosch 040 fuel pump and 1/2 in tank pick-up/lines ECU and uncut loom Apexi bov-subtle sound Additionally everything else needed to bolt into your Z...engine mounts,sump,gearbox x-member,mandrel bent stainless 21/2" new exhaust,tailshaft,intercooler pipes,radiator,hoses,lines,starter motor(rare specially for MX7 box) and probably more that i can't think of right now The running gear is all A1 or new and the car is very quick,smooth and reliable,it has the potential to be much quicker Here's the deal 1) Buy the complete bolt in conversion for $5000 2) Swap your 240/260Z coupe plus cash,not even interested in your running gear,but rest of car must be good Car located in Perth,PM me for further info

  16. electronic all the way ...set and forget have a feeling that 280ZX dizzies are electronic,if so grab one of those also worth running a good coil &/or spark amplifier eg MSD,Accel don't forget a good set of leads as well

  18. this one was for sale somewhere else recently,can't remember where i saw it though the 'spare roof' sounds ominous,looks like rust in the door jamb near the windscreen as well suppose it is an early 240,but probably needs a shell strip and sandblast at the minimun,being handy with a mig wouldn't go astray either i'd say

  20. RB30 turbo box out of a VL Commodore is another option,around 7-800 bucks on calais turbo....if you are patient... not as smooth as the RB25DET box but tractor tuff
