  4. no
  5. if it's just the uni joint you would be better replacing that rather than get another t/s with possibly the same issue are you sure that is the source of the clunk ....as there are many culprits lurking under the rear end that can cause clunking lastly if you do need/want another tailshaft for the 240z be aware that there are 2 lengths depending on how the diff is mounted(early/late 240's) paul
  6. must be SU's in good working order and not in need of a rebuild can swap for a set of hitachis(in need of a rebuild) or an R200 VLSD carrier

only fly in the ointment would be if it was corroded around the water galleries and needed welding and facing :-\ btw what is a P90 head worth secondhand these days?.....sometimes if you need to pull the head off you may as well scout around for a better one to put back on......i find i feel less sour about doing repairs if the finished product is faster
  9. anyone want a cheap street LSD for their R200 throw me an offer
  10. hey guys i found this lastnite dont know if its compatible i assume it would be.. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Nissan-Diff-R200-Gearset-4-111-Bargain-Upgrade_W0QQitemZ320184296503QQihZ011QQcategoryZ102557QQ you assume incorrectly short and long nose ring and pinion sets are not interchangeable, only the carrier is
  11. postage no problem, prices as above,PM me regarding finer details
  12. will throw in dust for nothing :-\
  13. Have a Viscous LSD carrier to suit R200 for sale,no gears in good nick......$250 one set of 5 bolt stub axles to suit either of above.......add $150 all just gathering dust :'(
  14. looks like someone went to a bit of effort putting that bracing in,i don't see how it would affect registration unless it is fouling anywhere.....some states have a minimum clearance of 20mm rule in this regard, check on DOTARS website
  15. thanks mate, may make a few enquiries paul
  16. ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=270165708171&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=017 ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? maybe i should pull mine completely apart,spray it in primer,take out the rebuilt RB30ET,remove the brake upgrade/intercooler/engine management system/mandrel stainless exaust/VLT 5 speed etc etc and sell it on ebay suit someone who wants to do an RB30 turbo transplant i'm sure it would work out cheaper for them than bidding on a finished car at $10,000 go figure
  17. i would be suprised if they will ship it to you by sea USPS canned the surface shipping option a few months ago(unless the item/s fit in one of two pre packaged size boxes),leaving freight forwarding companies as the only (exorbitant$$$)option

  19. hey guys thanks for the replies will be moving over in a year or so,bought a house on a couple of acres as well as a 100ac ex apple orchard.......great value for money in tasmania......one perth house =3 tassie properties heartening news about the licensing my 302 Z was licensed in WA in 1984,didn't need any engineering back then ,i have however at least upgraded the brakes since buying it!! i am moving to the huonville valley area(about an hour south of hobart)....quite a way from lonnie, anyone down that way that can do the engineering certificate? now i have a real dilemma on my hands-----which Z do i take with me was going to convert both my WA cars to autos as i am in the city but may leave the one i take to tasmania as a manual now, much more fun on those twisty open roads cheers paul
  20. Hi fellas, probably moving to Tasmania in a year or so question is how strict are the licensing rules over there,i contacted DOTAR and they sent me a list of requirements that looked daunting i would consider taking both my 240Z's-RB30ET and 302 Windsor the V8 one was regod in WA since 1984,i bought it and there were no modifications other than the transplant,i have since installed ventilated discs and a bigger master cylinder(madness to think of increasing go without whoa) the RB30ET one has ventilated discs up front and discs on the rear, otherwise no additional mods neither car has needed engineering permits over here anyone in tassie been through the process of installing a different engine....how hard was it?? cheers paul
  21. heartening news and support fellows, thanks i'll wait until the final countdown :-\
  22. haha the things i buy off the forums are lucky to last a day before they are snapped up
  23. interested to know what is putting people off...the price or the distance theres been a couple on ebay that have got to high teens,,,,,and even then passed in,admittedly they were rebuilt body wise but not original and some not even with rebuilt mechanicals for another $3200 i could get the body/paint immaculate, that leaves reupholstering the seats, covering the dash and new carpets required and you have a bullet proof ball tearer of a drivetrain with potential for a lot more(if you felt you needed it ) just curious
