    Z32 Turbos

what are they going on as i am aware of a couple of twin turbo kits for sale suit rb25 and rb30 if for another motor ,cheapest twins seem to be off the mkIV supras....and they are sequential, great for low rev response
  2. think i've still got my 240z one from the update to the 15/16 master cylinder if i have it's yours for postage let you know tomorrow

    3.9 Diff

what ratio are you currently running? what size rims/tyres,maybe a lower profile would bridge the gap?
  7. not mine,but spotted on R31 forum http://forum.r31skylineclub.com/index.php/topic,107097.0.html
  8. maybe he got the resto price confused with his modem speed
  9. they aren't centerlines
  10. i looked for 18 months before i managed to find a set,and that was from the US. Getting hard to find the 4x114.3 pattern and a new set is over $2000
  11. hey jeff, did you get my PM?
  12. I try not to listen to rumours
  13. agreed^^^,always better to buy a set that has been rebuilt unless you get them for a price that allows for the worst case scenario(not only money wise but time, inconvenience and annoyance) also i would rather buy from an active forum member as there is some loyalty to other members(hopefully) i recently sold a gearbox on ozdat, that came with a car i bought ,to a guy over east,he rang me 2 weeks later and said he'd opened it up and the synchros were stuffed,i refunded his money without question or proof(and let him keep the box to rebuild) i haven't come across a w*anker on auszcar yet
  14. anyone been and had a look at this car i emailed the owner regarding how much rust was cut out and where from....needless to say the answer could best be described as reassuringly evasive
  15. now that is a work of art, well priced
  16. the dual continues not fair comparing a sports car with a shopping trolley(even if it does have HSV badges on it) torque+live rear axle=smoke however with the Z's irs and 50/50 weight distribution they can transmit a lot of torque without braking traction which=acceleration i have a lot of respect for 4cylinder turbos and would never underestimate one in a drag race......i just wouldn't drive one on the street en gard
  17. 'Complete' apart from "Its missing the interior, front windscreen, and tags were lost during restoration. if found will send to winning bidder." looking at what interior parts have sold for individually on ebay recently i would say this would better suit someone looking to rebody a rusty example they have
  18. no doubt the sr20det is a great motor if you are limited to a 4cyl-even though i prefer the fj20det myself-but the extra 30Nm of the 3.0 turbo is delivered at close to 3000rpm whereas the sr20 peak torque is at 4000rpm,IMHO this makes for a better street car combination as it is torque that wins races not HP....if you race that is
  19. hi cuong, you'd cry if I told you
  20. no doubting the SR20DET is a powerful option but you can't compare an RB30ET in a commodore to one in a 240Z..........trust me : as for mileage, better than the L28 with 2" su's that was in the car previously 2 reasons, 1-changed to 3.36:1 diff ratio as the car is so light that it wasn't loading up the turbo enough to get maximum boost in the first 2 gears 2-the MX7 5 speed has a good overdrive ratio in 5th of course the economy suffers if you want to feel the boost all the time, but the real advantage to a 3.0l turbo is that you can potter around like a granny off boost(as in daily driver) but when you nail it all the power is there.....kind of like having a daily driver and a drag car all in one (unlike a cammed/carbed/compressed NA that sucks fuel regardless of how you drive it) the motor runs safely on 91 octane unleaded but i always use premium anyway the motor is capable of much more horsepower with a more aggressive tune, bigger turbo and bigger injectors but it is plenty fast enough for what i am asking ,dollar per hp it would be hard to beat! i am looking at another 240z next week,so may end up repowering that in which case the rb30et will stay where it is and i will keep the car until it sells for $15,000 or just hang on to it. ps the rb30et Z was much faster than the boss 302 one ,pictured in my avatar, which i recently sold....and that was far from slow
  21. just run the RB at half throttle, you'll never know the difference for a street car there is no substitute for cubes, even when it is turbod, torque rules
  22. hope you got the unique(to VLSD) length stubs for them as well
  23. sh1t they're in good nic!!
  24. what were they out of? long/shortnose donor housing? CLSD or VLSD? 29 spline stubs?
