ill take the bridge between mebourn and canberra as i live in albury/wodonga its about 3 hours away from both of them. is there any 1 near albury or wodonga if so we may be able to get somthing happering even if we include all the z cars not just s30 series well thats my say cheers pauly

you will need to most likely search very hard in australia for a efi turbo setup or import one from the usa should bot strait on as for compression you could get away with it standed but usualy the turbo motors have a compression of 7 to 1 but standed L28 have 8 to 1 not too sure if it would make much diff but im also new to the turbo sceene but good luck with the car and welcome to the club cheers pauly

i asked the question due to limited research at the time and i was able to get a E30 head with cam etc for $30. im currently looking for a new E88 head due to the previous owners stipping threds and snapping bolts off in it, i have removed a few of the bolts but there is still striped threds and cam needs atention so i thought i would just get a early E88 head to up the comp and replace my rooted head if you have any other info i should know or any tips etc feel free to pm me or post on the forum cheers pauly

i just use 95 octane or 98 and once a mounth or so ill run a bit of etherblend fuel trough it not too much just bout 10L seems to clean my engine out but i have had no trouble at all running it on 95 unleaded and ive been doing it for a couple of years now i wont use aditives the last time i did my carby craped itself and i had to strip the whole carb down to clean it cheers pauly

hey rev if you want some grunt for a budget of $3000 import a L28 turbo setup you should be able to get a turbo setup plus new ecu and intercooler etc for well under $3000 due to you having a f54 block it should be able to take quite a large amount of boost cheers pauly

how much where you after as i have not much knolage on the price of these cheers pauly

as the desription say im after a set of L24flatop pistons for my L26 up the comp and a early E88 head or even a later one in good nick

go on a site called hybrid z they are usa based but have a step by spe instruction for insatlling a 1jz and 2jz its in the forums under toyota L6 hope this helps cheers pauly

if you cant get one take it to a motor bike shop or mech as they oftern deal with crashed bikes and usualy have the gear needed to weld alloy ask most bikes are made from it now. good luck wif everything and iff all goes to plan i might see you on the 15th but i have to repaint my intire car in 15days cheers pauly

i agree paint would need to be emaculate and so would the rest of the car, as i said befor all mine need was paint and front bumper rechroming id say if everything is very good to great 8K to 9K would be a nice price cheers pauly

think of it this way i have a 260z 2+2 and was unable to sell it for $4200 it has a small rust hole in the hatch and 2 holes near the fuel tank ive grinded the sills back and also extreemly little rust, i could just glass it or bog there rust holes are not even the size of 5c coin, but be carful when buying one mine has next to no rust but at one stage suffered hail damage as i have found out from grinding the body back. my advice to you is to find a 2+2 or 2 seater with minimal rust it will be cheaper in the end to replace runing gear than to fix the body of the car and less stressing cheers pauly

one word (vicegrips) the vicegrips will lock on the line even if it is completly round just make sure u replace the line if you can, or you will keep having drahmas removing it the mechenic striped mine so i ended up replacing mine too was only bout $15 for the new line cheers pauly

hey everyone i was chatting to my brother last night when i mentioned a 280zx turbo gbox is a t5 tranny made by borg warner and he works for the company who now make that box and this its the question. i have a 1977 260z 2+2 with original gbox does anyone know if the internals from this gbox are t5 parts and if not would they fit as he knows some 1 who can suply me with a whole new guts and some 1 to rebuild it for nothing may even be able to convert it to a six speed cheers pauly

try checking your exaust i found mine had a leak ran some gasket selastic around it and now its heaps better still a bit fumy but no way near as bad also i fund when it was fum if you wind down both the windows it helps cheers pauly

this sounds sus to me as when i was selling my car on ebay a man sent me a email saying my car was also being advitised esle where but i could never find it (may be the same bloke) at least you have proof of it being advitised else where just watch your back anyway, save all email sent to you from the seller etc and just be wherey it may be a scam on your half what was the sellers name cheers pauly

cheers i thort that would be the case i think i mihg tjust get a E88 head and shave it down 1mm and then get cam shims to lift my camm the extra 1mm should up the compression some more cheers pauly

i was just wondering if i installed a E30 head would i be likely to loose power on a very litely modded L26 by modded i mean shaved cam flatop pistons set of 2.5 inch extractors

just a question for you fufu are you bleeding your breaks while your cars runing cause i found my z will only bleed while running stupid question but i have i have done it till i was told how to do it properly

got the full price on the head including shipping also this was on a 10 sec quater mile z it comes too $360 deliver to your do i aslo think this head has some mods but not certain let me know if any 1 wants it as i cant buy it due to me starting the z restore cheers pauly
