  3. the one thing that shocked me with the exedy clutch its how well it grabed, it doesnt even hesertate i can tell you it took a couple of days and a few slight screetches to get use to it though. my last clutch was a valeo and it ate the dust due to new tourque increase, all i have to say is long live exedy cheers pauly
  4. i have a brand new heavy duty exedy clutch in my z and it works great and as lurch said before the pedal still feels the same as it did with a standed clutch. cheers pauly
  5. a full L28 turbo motor would go down nicely either block would be fine other than that a full L28 turbo setup would be great let me know. cheers pauly
  6. try changing your leads, points, cap, and rotor button i think you will find this fixes the problem but check the points cap and button first cheers pauly
  7. well both of my 2+2 had them and ive seen a couple more with them aswell, i also like the idea cheers pauly
  8. i may be incorect with the sizing but he said they where definatly side draugft i will get some pics to confirm, i also thort it was strange size aswell and only reason y i thort they where idf. he isnt the brightest person when it comes to carbs either so i would say they are 45 dco or dcoe cheers pauly
  9. also there is no datto manifold as it was for a 202 motor from a commodore cheers pauly
  10. a friend has a set of 3 side draugft 44 idf weber carbies that he is wanting to sell. the carbies are brand new in boxes, they where originaly going to go on his brand new stroker 202 but due to a poor quality build he never got to put these carbs on ( engine blew up in a 1 day completely seized fist crank ) make an offer or pm me if you want some pics cheers pauly

  12. mine is shaved about 0.6mm havent had a drahmah but i have larger cam towers etc. if you want some more power get a good cam and get your head fixed to new condition also a good eltrical system does help my two cents cheers pauly

  14. good luck with your build. i have a L26 with a early E88 that has been shaved about 1mm and i have no problems with the pistons hitting the valves. i also have a mild ground cam and man does this combo make a big diffference to the power output just dont get a real lumpy cam as you use your car as a daily like me, as for L28 long live the L24 and L26 cheers pauly
  15. so your just after the hub with the 4 studs i presume if so you can have it for $20 + postage, i may even be able to get it into mebourn for nothing but you will need to pick it up cheers pauly
  16. i have two which had new bearings put in them but there from a 2+2, if these fit let me know as there just sitting in the shed cheers pauly also im in albury nsw
  17. hey i ended up sticking whith my original motor it turned out my head was stuffed so i replaced it with a early E88 which has a mild cam new stem seals, shaved 0.7 to 0.8 mm and larger inlet and exaust. now all i haveto do is change my clutch as it has now blown lol i will never end thanks for the replies cheers pauly
  18. thanks for the info i was considering droping the diff but i will try removing bolts once more with a spaner and then im droping the diff thanks for the help cheers pauly

  20. i also forgot to mention something your z and a mini have one thing in common the carbies, they are off a mini or mg as my mothers mini has one and its the original carb it should be about 1.5 inch if so its them cheers pauly
  21. hey i just need some help. im currently removing my gbox to change my clutch but i cant remove my tailshaft due to the bolts surcuring it to the diff. the bolts are facing the diff and i cannot get them un done due to no room is there another way to remove the tailshaft or does some one know how to get thes bolts un done cheers pauly
  22. water in the dipstick isnt always a sign of water in your oil. have you washed your car whith a presure washer before ? if so like me and my dipstick you may have got a small amount of water in there, also with the oil i use 10w30 or 15w30 and trust me its thin works realy well until you get a small leak it does what you said happerned to your car it sprays all over the place. i had a small oil leak at the rear of my rocket cover and it sprayed oil, under moderate exceleration all over my firewall, and all down my gearbox till it final stoped half way down my tailshaft. also my engine breather had a hose going to my airfilter and i thort it may have caused a vacume and when the hole formed the oil escaped. just a thort and good luck cheers pauly
  23. small question where did you get the turbo manifold ? and can i have it please lol just joking. i was thinking of turbo or supercharging down the track but im swaying more too using a sc14 supercharge due to cost. also did you get a turbo wireing loom and how much was the lot if you dont mind me asking cheers pauly
  24. well im not too sure what i will be doing with the old duck but parting it would be a last resort, by the way it hawls ass kills commodores, sounds great and running gear is fine but i will see what happerns after painting, i may even just put it in the shed and buy another car also smokes my brothers na 300zx. also forgot to mention i have two sets of rims and the reason why the ones on the car are different are due to rwc thanks for you comments and ill let you all know how the car goes and i may even see some of you at the next club meating 3 hour trip for me though. cheers pauly
  25. i have a gear nob but the metal plate has no H pattern you would be better off just getting one made as both the ones i have are the same cheers pauly
