hey i was just wondering what type of fuel pumps people are using cause mine went boom today

by the look of things you have a 5speed gbox from a datsun 260z 2+2 cause the same 1 is in both my 77 260z 2+2

it may be slighly wider but the head bolts and ports are the same theres a page on another z forum that has pics ect of a head gasket from a L28 on a rb20 head ill c if i can find it cheers pauly

an rb 25 head does bolt to a l28 but there are other complications for instace, you would need to change oil and water lines in the rb25 headto suit l28 block, change the head from belt driven to sprocket, then get new computers and get it custom tuned to suit the engine, new exaust ect how do i know this its because i was thinking the same thing it would give a great power increase and mods would be almost never ending thats my 2 cents for the day cheers pauly

i got told it should be about $100 a yr but you can only drive it weekends ect tell us how u go cheers pauly

ok there 10mm to 11mm thick and 270mm in width (from 1 side to the other) as for price make a fair offer and there yours cheers pauly

hey rod i have a near new set of 260z front disk no real wear no scores and i only used them for about 1 month due to a nasty pothole and a frontend change that had decent disk can u use these on a 240z

i instaled stock brakes that had been cleaned which had very good quality pads and it made loads of difference pulls up heaps better and cost about $600 for front and back and was more then worth it cheers pauly

where are they at in sydney cause i have a mate that drives a truck from sydney to mebourn and i may be able to get him to get them for a small price

i finaly cracked the poops wif my down draught carby and hapened to have a 350 holley in the shed, so i found a adapter plate for a ww carb and modded it to fit my thred pattern of my manifold and put it all on and it worked. runs nice needs tuning but produces good power and good economy with a great sound. so for people who have a dd carby i would recomend doing it. heres some pics cheers pauly

i finaly realised today when i got out to the new z it had no coil but sure enough i pulled the coil off my other z and put my battery in and it started strait away . as usual the bloke i bought the car off said it had a little work done to the engine did i belive him no, but sure enough i got in the z after it warmed up and planted my foot like i do with my other 1 and it scared the crap out of me i went sideways strait away without even dropping the clutch and sounded awsom. so all and all the running gear in the car is great and bodies not so bad. so to wrap things up im happier with this z then my first 1, running gear wise but the body does need work but looking forward to it cheers pauly

well finaly got home after a very long day as usual we got lost and took a good few hours to get back on track, the cars not too bad well what ive seen of it, but it has a realy cool gear nob which has a snakes head in it other than that i think all the parts are there but the coil, both windscreens and new windscreen rubber are there has some rust as usual will post some pics monday cheers pauly ps has a 2 3/4 inch set of extractors on it to

other than that install a remote central locking kit took me some time but works great and has good range cheers pauly

i think i will do a full restore i was origonaly going to buy it for parts but every part i needed i have and the cars in too good condition for me to destroy it , who knows a mate of mine who loved skylines has been converted and now he loves the z cars so maybe down the track he may buy it cheers pauly

i was planing on going efi if i do do this. i found a setup for a L20 series motor and the brackets run of the aircon pump so should bolt strait on and it came off a working car so this may help
