    well i just left school and m joining the army but i could quite possibly write a letter to them i was thinking of doing that last night anyway ill see what happerns tomorow when i find out if im in or not and then i might write that letter after all pauly

    thanks for the help its much better now also i was wondering has any 1 ever tried making the dohc z head again because u could nearly recreate the head by the pictures and by using the pictures to make a scale to give u the dimentions pauly

    hey all i was just reading bout u wanting to use wider tyre but the width may attract police due to the flair but these anothe option that u could do that gives u flairs but make it look standed when i bought my zd it had flaired guards but they look like it how the car is supose to be u couldnt even tell they wherent ment to be like that heres some pics i gotta get some better 1ns since the old zd looks better :lol: btw im using 235/14"/55 high pauly

    well u could always say the largest wheels that where on the zds where bigger , just make up a yr and say they bought them out , they haveto prove they dont exist and if they do prove they dont i got some rims that are 235s with the datsun logo on them pauly

    sco_aus well thankfully im quite fit atm due to doing sprint training and other sports but now i got the last interview on the 29 so i will find out then how i go but as for the datnats im lookin forward to being the pauly :twisted:

    well thats all interesting every 1 got theres all bout the same age and most of u still have your first, well how i got mine was i asked if i wanted a 18th or a car by my parents and i said a car so for mounths on end i was looking through mags and the net and finaly found 1 i purchased it off a bloke in his 50's it was in realy good nick with very little rust and im hear now very happy and hopefuly it will be reg soon then i can enjoy my zd for many yrs to come pauly

    hey dave i no how u feal i just left school and m hoping to get into the defence force but the prob i have is the lack of fund to get my car reg and all tuned up nicely but i m looking very forward to the day it gets reg ill be out for hours and just as u said u seen 1 and got hooked hope u get every thing worked out soon pauly

    well im prob wrong as usual but the needles may be set wrong or you need a new air filter cause mine was doing that to but i am using a duel barrel daf carbie pauly

    mine just craped itself just when it was due for rego 2 and the funny thing is i bout my zd from a guy named pete who bout it from a paul so a paul bout it when new then a pete then a paul lol

    i was thinking that it may be possible to make up a alloy head using the 2 heads a rb head and a L series. if u took a mold of both heads and cut them in half then joining the the botem of a L head to the top of the rb head and made the room for the extra vales it could work because all the water passage would line up so would the bolts and then it would leave u whith a dohc on top any 1 else thort of somethin like this madness

    i was looking through my haynes manual and i could be your ignition coil u may have the + and - arount the wrong way it says u can loose upto 60% of your spark may cause misfireing and if that doesnt work check the points in the dizzy that might also be the prob pauly

    well good news the bolts snaped above the head and 1 screwed out by hand and the other took a set of vice grips alos i learned my lesson and will double cheack things befor i do them id like to thank every 1 for the info pauly

    as much as i stuffed up doin that i wasnt stupid enought to keep snapin them i just left the rest and according to my book after looking agia it says to do them up at 29 ft\lb but i still didnt have thewrench set to that but thanks for all the advice and ill tell u all how it goes pauly
