im out i think i felt a stabbing pain in my pocket just reading those prices.

First time I pulled my gearbox I realised it was missing the spiggot bush... previous owners... they all have a lot of explaining to do.

yeah im in the same boat. if i can smack the zed up with a gearbox and get some time off work then I will hit it up. does this mean I will have to wash my car though? coz people think its painted brown these days... dates??

I am rebuilding mine atm. It crunched into second and started to slip with any more than half throttle. You can actually re-use the synchros from the 3rd/4th gears and put them onto ur 1st/2nd. this makes it easy as you can get a cheap second hand gearbox that will have worn out 1st/2nd synchros but the 3rd/4th should be fine. While you have the gearbox out it will be worthwile checking to see what has caused your clutch to wear... In my case it was a cracked flywheel. It could also be a rear main seal that has dripped oil onto the pressure plate for you? cheers, Jack

Give us a yell if you need any advice or anything with them sulio. Mine aren't tuned exactly how I would like them. But i guess I am one of a few that has put tripple delortos into their zed. Your first step will be modifying your exisiting accelerator linkage to suit?

I hope to make it to this one. It might be the final cruise for me and the zed, or a new beginning after her recent gearbox, clutch, flywheel, suspension makeover.

If you dont care which model you get, you should look for 2+2's coz they are super cheap.

Cheers, I'll give them a go. Trying to have the zed perfect for when I do pass it on to the next bloke... Nobody would happen to have a thickness or weight of a standard flywheel would they? I'm looking at getting mine machined, but dont know what has been done to it in the past..

Well, Im finally adressing the final issue on my 240. The gearbox synchros arn't great going into second, and the clutch has started to slip. Im fixing it all properly before I seriously look at selling the car. But what I wondered was where I should go to get gearbox synchros, and how much i am looking at... Anyone know where I should go?

let me know if you find the place those interior panels disappeared to. coz damn they are impossible to find without speaker holes.

Let us know if you need any advice on the sound system... But dont let any of the purists know that you are cutting wholes in door trims to put speakers in!

Yeah.... havent checked to see when the next meeting is, but if its within the next 23 days, I might be able to hit it up. Definately stolen my zed colour though... Although I think mine was a Toyota colour.

Lurch, at the next viczcar meet I make it to, we seriously have to compare colours! That looks so similiar its not funny. However I'm not sure when the next meet I will make is, as I just lost my licence for 4 months. Courtesy of one 240Z and one stupid 18 year old head.

Lurch what colour is that? It looks exactly like the one sitting in my driveway, or it is definately the closest colour any other zed has to mine. At least you can be assured that I like it.

i second that leak.... coolant coloured water on my transmission tunnel..

sure, do the white dash... but if you make anything unneccessarily blue you will have a lot of questions to answer...

yeah, same thing got done with my seats, sounds pretty standard.
