Well, I wasnt able to read between the lines as this thread wasnt active when I first got my zed, and yes, I would have been much happier if someone had warned me off. Absolute waste of money to have shonkey work done on my car.

Pauly, your replies make my eyes hurt. It's good to see that you still don't believe in grammar. Gio and shannons both insured me for a good price after I turned 19. About $350 a year full comp 15K agreed value as a daily driver. I think it might make a big difference if your car is 35 years old as it qualifies as a classic.

Yeah well I just wish that back when I was starting on my zed, people had expressed their troubles with Zshops rubbish work, so then at least I wouldn't have taken my car their. I think if you pay somebody to do work on your car and the work is rubbish, you should definately pay out on them on the forum. As we can see there are still many of us continuing to go to Zshop (like me and the Rev in recent times) and we have all been greatly disappointed in the work done their and the money charged. If this thread had been around 2 years ago I wouldnt have wasted a lot of money on that douche.

All I know is that I took my car there a few times, and I've found out in the long run that everything he touched on my car turned to shit, and the only decent work was the stuff he subcontracted out. Also he was slow and expensive. It's great when you have to pay $900 for a roadworthy, then have to replace all those parts for another one a year later because the guy was a better bricklayer than mechanic. And yeah I didnt get what that guy above was on about either..

When I replaced mine a few months ago, Nissan were selling them for $470 so I bought one off Laurie Nelson for $70.. You could have mine if you wanted to machine it down because it has some surface cracks.

Rev, Everyone on here can surely realise that the jokes about our 2+2 brothers are very much tongue in cheek. Nobody on here says that 2+2's are bad, or inferior.. the only comments we make that could somehow be seen as negative is when talking about their value in the zed market. And this is very much factual as they just don't fetch the same money as the 2 seaters.. Lets not start getting offended over nothing.. thats just stupid.

Take out your jets. They are about 8cm long and accessed through the top of your carbs.. The jet is the small part that is pushed on the bottom end of the 8cm long piece. You should be able to pull this off with vicegrips. Ive changed my jets about a million times, if they are too big, you can solder them up and then just redrill the hole to the desired size..

I think it will cost you alot more if you don't have the knowlege or skills as you will have to pay people to do more of your restoration...

Yeah nah I can back that up. The guy was a royal douche who was pointless to deal with. Just wondered what had happened.

I dont get why nobody wants to say exactly what happened? Pretty sure the supreme court hasnt banned victorians from speaking about every crime.
