  9. Ok so Ive got no problem doing those small modifications to fit selector shafts etc.. But what I can't understand from all of that info is what box is best to use? Should I use a box from an rb20de, rb20det, sr20, ca18 or an r31? Which one of these boxes is the easiest mod? And will I need to shorten the tailshaft and fabricate gearbox mounts? Thanks so much for all your help boys its much appreciated
  10. Hi all, been a long time between posts after the sale of my 240. Heard from somebody recently that the gearbox out of a r33 etc skyline with fit into a 260z with the only modification being a bellhousing swap. Just wanted to confirm if this was true or not as I know the skyline boxes are strong and my 260 box is for the bin. Any help would be much appreciated Cheers, JP

  14. Guys, I need some small parts such as tie rod ends etc for my GTR, the parts can only be bought genuine from nissan in Oz so I was wondering who would be best to get in contact with in Japan seeing as our exchange rate is so good atm.. None of the parts I need are bulky so shipping shouldnt kill me.. Does anyone know or has used anyone good? Cheers, Jack
  15. Are the plugs in the 3 cylinders that arnt firing wet?
  16. Have you replaced all the plugs? Coz if it hasn't been tuned since I had it, it will definately foul plugs..
  17. Butchering isn't a non standard steering wheel and monster tacho, its doing things to the car that cant be reversed. Monster tacho's and steering wheels can be replaced, leaving the car original once again.
  18. yeh they work. maybe you need to refresh your page or delete your cookies, as maybe its using the cookies from before fu changed the links?
  19. Stick with hitachi, but not with your carb "specialist".
  20. Oh yeh my bad I forgot about the sr20.. probs a better option.
  21. rb30et would be a nice motor in the zed and bolt on mods are plentiful due to the vl's. But if I were you, looking at the car as a daily driver, you would get good power and awesome fuel economy out of the rb25det. I have both an r32 and r33 skyline, and the power difference is huge, especially when boosted, but the fuel economy is similiar. So my vote would definately be with Scott and the rb25. You could also get great streetability out of a stock rb26dett, but they can get quite thirsty on fuel.
  22. lol you could always just update it to mayhem in the meantime.. mayham sounds too much like what the serve for christmas in july.
  23. I was wondering how long it would take Sulio to explain to us all who Mayham is.. he sounds mysterious.
  24. 2nd vote for coventry. They are expensive, but have heaps in stock and with many locations across Melbourne they can get anything they dont have pretty quickly.
