Dont forget your rear guards have been rolled, thats why your currents wheels don't fill it out enough.. Ive got a set of 12 slotters that were on the car, they were what the guards were rollled to fit.. fills it out nicely..

You should be able to richen it sufficiently for a stock L28 using the mixture screws. In the long run of you were going to stick with it you would probably re-jet them. Yeah that guy is dreaming with the tripples so go with the round tops.

Why was the standard xr6 furl consumption so high? should be about 11L/100km. There is no difference between motors in xt falcons and xr6 falcons, the main difference is gearbox ratios.

Hitachi make both round tops and flat tops actually. The hitachi round tops are pretty good and can be jetted to run almost as well as tripples, but the flat tops are dirt. Get the tripples and sell them, or get him to put the round tops on. Oh and also the round tops are 240, whilst the flat tops are 260.

The idle mixture screws are fully in, but have you touched the idle speed screw that controls all three carbs?

Sorry mate, all the ones I posess have holes for speakers cut in them.. It also is possible to get 240 rear panels and then just cut out the section that goes above the strut tower as the 260 strut tower is higher, as I think 260 2seater rear panels are even harder to find than 240 ones.. This might be one of those parts that you have to settle for not being perfect unless you want to go to nissan and pay concourse prices.. Maybe ebay US?

It really does depend what side you need. I think its back left that has the speaker behind it? Whatever side has the speaker is harder to get as the perforations make it susceptable to breakage. They can be found.. I think I got some off Laurie Nelson. I'll check the parts shed tomorrow as I might have one floating around.. Gonna start selling off all the parts now as my mums car is almost complete and mine is gone.

Yes, i think what we are getting at is that a car like this, in original condition needs a proper restoration. And due to the rust involved it isnt for those people that are expecting a really cheap resto.. But when restored it will be well worth it, and the price does look good. You just need to find the right sort of buyer, who is going to restore it properly and is after an early matching numbers zed.

Yeah you're right the arm does look similiar, but definately not factory.. It's hard-to-find parts like this that make it easier to give up on zeds..

Yeah Gav, my old lady has been waiting for one to come up for ages.. doesnt even matter what condition it is. I think I was lucky to have one on my 240.. But yeah if I find someone that has one I will get 2 or 3 or 8. I thought I remembered someone like Matt Drago documented their rebuild and costed up everything they had bought, which had an original mirror from Brighton Nissan, but all the dealerships I've checked havent been able to come up with anything..
