    Glad to hear you had fun Simon - would have been a fair hike from Moo though... My old man said it was a fairly intimidating track with lots of off-camber turns & blind crests. And those pics look awesome, Gippsland has really 'greened' up BTW did you happen to notice the shortish, portly chap with a grey goatee & possibly an Akubra hat on, doing the start line duties?

    Vortex issue I highly doubt would work with what you just described. I'd pay more attention to sealing up the cabin rather than letting more potential fumes & road noise in... Congrats on the purchase though, sounds like you did better than me. I was bidding on a 280ZX Turbo EFi manifold tonight, but I was sniped with 15 seconds to go & was outbid by a measly $2...

    I don't think you'll gaim much by fitting a stock injected L28... I assume this is in a Patrol? I'd be looking at a Holden/SBC V8 on Gas if I was you...

    NZeder, that's probably where the 'turbo' block mystique came from. Indeed, extra cooling may be needed in a turbo application, but how much of a difference it would make... who knows...? If you’re going for any large size overbore, the early N42 would be the one to go for.

    Modular, I haven’t heard it but my bro says it's the goods... I get into the Hoods, Muff n Plutonic, Urthboy, A Tribe is Forming etc etc... I also like 'G-punk' bands like (həd) p.e. etc, & Progressive Rock/Metal bands like Tool/APC right through to Disturbed, Mudvayne & Rob/White Zombie

    Yes, F54 or N42 is cast into the lower LHS of the block down near the back. It's pretty hard to miss FWIW, the N42 is the block to use for turboing or building a 3.1ltr, as it has the webbing right through all the bores, whereas the F54 only has webbing between 1&2, 3&4, 5&6

    Thats an eclectic taste Modular I'm more into Aussie Hip Hop / G-Phunk / Nu-Metal / Alt Metal. Like Pandora it's been throwing up some interesting bands....

    For anyone (un)lucky enough to be stuck behind a desk all day but likes listening to music, this might be the site for you: www.last.fm It's basically like 'Pandora' before it went all Emo & stopped all non-US based IP address accessing it... Simply type in your favourite band & it will play streaming songs from that genre' of music. I reckon it's great & is throwing up some interesting results...

    Looking VERY good Dimitri! Same here, can't wait to hear it run I hear what your saying about cold weather - we've been suffering through low to mid 20's the last couple of weeks. Not much fun at all...........
