Remove a few bits and pieces I've collected and will have a good look and see if its worth doing, seen projects that looked really good
hiding terrible repairs loads of rust and too much work and expense.
Have a Fairlady grille that I can't figure out how to fit as the brackets don't seem to be in the same place as the original grille
Have a odd set of wheels 6.5 Watanabe and 6" Black Racing, plus original rims (would like to widen to 6.5 or 7 inches) new set of seat covers various badges and interior trim.
After 23 years sitting in various sheds this might be the start of a restoration
After a wash if I can get it to start I think we are done, not that hard really.
Thats good to hear that they fit well without too much trouble
I see that you fitted one of the repro bonnets and that was ok
Thanks for the feed back

Anyone fitted Musclecar parts repro doors yet?
It would seem their bonnets were not a bad fit so hopefully the doors will be ok
Any feed back regarding bonnet and doors appreciated.

Original had the chrome surrounds, the ones pictured are fairly easy and not too expensive originals expensive if you can find them and reproductions
cost around $500

$140000 Why would you buy this, looks nice but what is it???
Feel the same about any of the recreations,continuations,fakes,tributes,pastiches.......
Not much foam in early seats a thin layer attached to vinyl the rest is horse hair.
Basically repro seat material is a long way off original
Its areas like this where you have to decide wether you compromise your quest for "originality"

There are a couple of shops in Melbourne that will alter the wheels.
Decided to change to 15" a better selection of tyres?
205.55.15 should be near the same rolling diameter as 175.70.14
So will the above tyre on a 15x7 rim fit standard height suspension
Alternately will it fit if lowered 1 or 2 inches ?
Nick
Have a set of 5" steel wheels thinking of widening to 7 or 8 inches keeping the original backspace.
I think they would fit ok at standard height but would they fit if lowered 1 or 2 inches?
To get a better selection of tyres I could fit the centres into 15" rims same question as above.
