    Floor pans

buy new pans and weld them in.... or get a place like Zworx to put them in for you, they do it everyday so they know what they are doing...
  4. gav have these arrived yet..... what was the shipping price... yes and congrats on the purcharse
  5. you would have to asked about that one evan, if they send to aus, im not really sure... but yer, might order some of those tommorrow
  6. i guess you never saw my old silvia..... it was painted with matt black spray cans... and stock 15inch wheels.... no grill, shopping trolley dints everywherre... but, it was a sr20det, with bb turbo, putting out 178rwkw, with a awesome suspension package and a nice diff...
  7. evan i found this tonight http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TOKICO-ILLUMINA-SHOCKS-NISSAN-240Z-260Z_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33590QQitemZ8029737788QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW ends up $355US for the shocks + 125US for shipping = 485USwhich is at todays exchange rate.... = $650AUD Deleiverd, with insurnace and tracking number //// seems a damn good price for them, really thinking about buying some
  8. ok After reading a few threads here and around, i realised alot of use guys are really into the look of the Z but does the look of the Z outway the performance of the car for you, as in the power, handling response etc etc... i know everyone loves the handing and performance and loves the look but whats the one you mostly and at best spend most of your money on...etc I personally, prefer performance... the looks of the car are a bonus... and i telling the truth as i owned a S13 silvia... so you know where im coming from about the looks, but the looks don't bother me as much as performance... as in id rather spend my money on a good engine and awesome suspension than spending heaps on rims and paint etc
  9. unles u can get one off a wrecker. You would be able to get one from nissan at a premium.... only other place that i can think of is either, rare spres, scots old rubber... or that zparts place in sydney....
  10. im actaully going to try to do most of it myself based off the original i go, and stich it, with padding underneath for the tranny tunnel and rear suspension towers.. etc etc looking quite cheap as wel.. but just time consuming.. but i on holidays anyway.... JP show us some pictures
  11. yer thats why i don't want to use the good quality paint that i will be buying and and use this black gloss stuff... it also gets very dirty under there sometimes, like dusty and black would be the better go other than the pewter that i will be going i've aleady started doing it today anyway.. so i'll see how it looks
  12. zedophile.... is that ur car in the avater, are they steel stockies... sulio which ones are the hurracane.... are they half decent looking and are the tread on the 2 fronts RW... as thats what i need them for... + for driving the first coupla weeks/months i get the car on the road... i'll take them off ya for $50 no worries even if i don't like the look of them... as long as its 4 wheels that are the same...
  13. hey For some reason i just bought some jet black paint to paint my interoir and also my suspension in,... then realised maybe its not a good idea to paint my interior black more on the color of the car.... Im talking about the floors, firewall, roof, and rear truck area... Where stuff will be coverd up you won't see the color unless you take stuff off, like carpets, interoir peices etc etc What do you guys think?...
  14. hey i need some stocko wheels for when i come to register the car as i don't want to spend big bucks on wheels yet, or havn't decided if i want some nice wheels so i need some stocko wheels and need to know what stocko wheels in AUS fit how Z's i know Z31s and other datsuns do... but i want somethig that i will fit at the wrecker for $50-70... for the entire set of wheels
  15. evan. im thinking purches will be cut around 40mm, and sleeves put on, and then koni yellows, for the front and the rear, but i have been told that it is going to be hard to engineer this if i do it myself, so im going to get a machinist to do it, but not sure on the price just yet... but looking at around 500 for the labour, plus another 1000 for materials, but also am currently looking at S15 front end, with s15 rear, which the rear isn't a problem, but the front looks difficult... but will be seeking help, once i finish painting the bitch which will be next weekendut but for a front strut brace, don't get a single one get a triangle one, either custom, make it urself if you have the skills, im currently making one for myself but need to wait to get final demensions of strut tops before welding the shit together... but a whiteline sway bar is about the only thing that i know of that you can buy... in aus for decent price..
  16. if it is anytime during march, i'll be done the Z by then, and hopefully will have it running... but anytime before that, i'll come in my freashly sprayed corona
  17. thats some half decent dish.... how light are they... and as you say they are ginuine volks no suprises that they are 2 peice good work... and get some pictures once they are half fitteed
  18. i will be ordering 16inch panasports in march when i come back from a business trip to sydney and some nice checks clear, hopefully they will be available then
  19. Over christmas and new years, i went to asia for a few weeks... when i was there i went to a few tuning shops, mostly in hong kong.. looing for stuff for the Z, but they are to old so didnt have anything for myself to buy but going thou a hobby shop, i found this... a 1:12 replica of a datsun 240zg that i will put together myself.. when time permits.. its a tamiya so its a good brand... costed a bit... but it look fantastic.. as per pictures... will paint once i paint my car so it will look the same... the photos were taken with my new phone. samsung d600 so trying to test that as well

    304 into Z

the gearbox is there shit T5, that i hate with all parts of my body, its got the feel of a toyota corolla, really crappy, supra turbo gearbox will fit, with a bellhousing from castlemaine rod shop, whole excercise with bellhousing box, with shaft, and flywheel plus heavy duty clutch, will be in th 1500 range, from the prices i got.... v8 seems the best option for me at the moment... thou a v8 quad cam from toyota would be so much better, i would love to see the car, but i am working 12 hour days for the next 14 days till i go overseas, so most likely will be working at a suitable time to get to see the car
  22. i'll be in the phillipoines driving my mates go karts around his own track... love it poor here rich there... gotta love that

    304 into Z

I know someone here at a 350 in there Z, but wondering if anyone has a 304 in there Z and would like to share information on it ive got a source, that i can pick up a 190k motor from a vnss with manual trans, and all the computer stuff and wiring, for 2k instalation won't be hard, as block is same as 308 and the rodshop sell the kit for 250, just more worried about engineers, as i havn;t spoken to one yet...
  24. damn, it looks right on the money... yer to go lower u will need to cut difinately, and i don't think u have full suspension travel,... better not go over a pot hole with those rear hehe.... does it handle heaps better with the wider track or not
  25. IMO: get all the literature u can get... how to restore your datsun Z car, is a good book for what you are doing... easy reading heaps of pictures... get it from tech book shop in the city... www.techbooks.com.au the haynes manul,,, is really good... but its more for mechnical stuff, with some interoir stuff.... and if you can find a datsun service manual... on ebay usually around 3-=60 you can pick one up for
