id say its just teh stock computer running funny, did you reset the stock computer at all... but taking off the battery etc.... unless your sensor is out of wack, id just wait for the fc to get tuned and hopefully that will fix it, with a decent cold start tune...

well i prolly goy inyo z cars when i was around 16, now im 22, saw the green covertible one going into a red rooster just down from my high school and tried to work out what it was, as at that point was working at tat the local lone star trying to make a few dollars to save to get a car for when i was 18, as i already had a sweet pushy so i was sorted till i was 18 haha.... had some cash saved up, looked at around 2 Zeds and both had awesome race motors in them, but the bodys were shocking, ended up finding a decent 76 260z that i bought for 2k, ended up spending another 2k to get it RW, and another 1.5k to redo the motor, but at the end of the day i learnt everything i know about cars from that car, and had a great time pulling stuff apart and making it run and all that kinda stuff, that car was a bog monster, but it got stolen and recovered burnt when i was 20, i got a picture that i got somewhere around here, went on to buy a sprinter, that i did a worked 100kw 4age conversion, spray paint and suspension work to, but never felt like the Z, bought a sr20det 5spd silvia, that pumped out 180rwkw, and i spent as much money on petrol as i did on tyres, smashed it, did a cheapo fix, and got rid of it... then looking for another Z now, picked up a restorer from warrne from Zworx, which is still kinda in the same conditon it was 2 years ago, rust free car, that needs to be put back together and i need to sell it.... i was hoping to fix that car up, then sulio told me he was selling his original 73 240z, which i wanted, and grabed from him for a decent price, now its sitting in my driveway, awaiting a mechanic to give it a RWC tommorrow, and hopefully be on the road friday... but will see... if you want pictures ill put them up when i get my laptop working again..

is your distributer working properly, is it loose, whats it set at.... might be a issue to look at.... also are you getting good fuel pressure, or have you checked the fuel pressure first... make sure these are both are 100% before working on the carbs, or else they will always be out....

Z might be there considering i get a appointment at vicroads this week, and get a few more things sorted out this week.... and trying to get a few days off this week to just work on the car... haha... can't wait

hey got my tax back, lets just say its a reasonable amoumt... so i got some cash to play with, if you were in my situation with a stock Z car from 1973 that is great in the body department, where would u put ur cash into first... 1. Suspension = coilovers/ other adjustable peices 2. Wats/flares/front airdam ie JDM look 3. carbon seats/airdam 4. keep cash save for engine work 5. koni's + semi comps basically my car is about a week away from RWC, and getting it on the road, will need to call in sick next week to have it sorted.. haha. .... but just want to play around with the car now that everything is done, but will need to pay someone to do the work, as working to many hours and the misses and drinking alcohol prefers the out of work time... for the fun of it, im thinking just koni's and semi comps for now as i can play with the stock motor etc and stock car, and maybe thou some seats into that, cause stock Z seats, hold me in the cabin not the seat... but i want turbo soonnner rather than later so number 4 sounds fun to

when i put my 4age into my sprinter, i didn't get a engineers,but its basically like putting a L28e into a Z, just got a differant head, as its a 4a still kinda thing, and engine numbers all start with 4A??? etc etc... so it was all good with vicroads, but im sure if i got pulled over with it with a copper who knew his shit id get screwed but i didn't really care... and didn't get pulled over either.... as evan said 1 74, i forgot you had a 76 evan.... my 73 doesn't don't have the glovebox to the 74 to check.... but as i said before, if u get busterd with to large of rims, get the fine, and just get a roadworthy with the stockies u got i spose, and if ur car isnt roadworthy, it shoudn't be on the road anyway, so yer, just makes u fix the shit thats wrong with your car.. etc etc

1. evan if you get scrweed for to big rims you'll be screwwd for a few other things on the car... keepy some stockies for the occasions where u can get stuffed over... 2. just get what size wheels you want... as legally 15x7 is the max u can go... but the Z doesn't have a tyre placard, nor does it legally need to have one, so they won't have any grounds to stand on if you get pulled over... 3. id like to see you get a Rb in the car, and get pulled over and say that rule to the officer and see what he fines you for next, and if u took the fine to court, can't see you beating it... but up to you.... if you can afford to put a Rb in the car and maintain the car, you can afforrd to get a engineers, and if you can't then you are doing the job half arsed and to cheaply, to have a desired outcome that you will like

crx for daily, zed for weekend,... but id be looking in engineers before u think of 1j as laws are chaging for engine swaps as of june 30..... just don't do what i did and come extremly time poor and don't have no time at all to work on the Z..... before i had no money no i don't care about the cash to spend on the Z i just want it.... u'll miss it, the crx is good, actaully was one of the cars i wanted when i was like 16, but is underpowered unless u go b16a, which are old now anyway.... but yer GET SOME COILOVERS, AND A EXHAUST AND FILTER and u'll love it.... semi slicks do wonerds to hondas, matters if u wanna throw cash at it thou

yer i just teasing ya.... ummm, the non vented from the pictures i've seen, is exactly the same as the vented, just one has vents and the other doesnt..... i prefer the smoother non vented.... as per my car wanting to look like this

first question is you already have holes in ur doors dont you, as you better not be cutting up good door trims, but it is ur car... otherwise if you want a clean look, you can mount the speakers under the dash, if you don't want to cut up ur doors
