  1. Well... it might be the "Stevie Wonder special paint job". Notice how the rear licence plate light globe holder wasn't properly removed? So it's been painted red... The panel gaps look ok though and the paint might come up ok. The big question is what was the repair work like?
  2. Hmmm #150 was complied in the 11th Month of 1970. So it seems reasonable that this was complied in 4th month of 71. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,15167.msg161224.html#msg161224
  3. Yes I'm curious to know what products and techniques are used also.
  4. HS30 00353 is for sale. Bruce a.k.a the LightMaster can probably take a look for you! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/240Z-/161619687664 Starting at $4,000
  5. 71 240z on EBay now no motor. Looks perfect for you.
  6. Funny I started a thread recently because I needed the same kind of washer. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,15677.0.html Didn't think Rare Spares would be the place to call.
  7. If I was in the market for a 2+2 I'd seriously consider it. Hope inspection means it lives up to it's description, certainly sounds like a good little unit and air-con to boot!
  8. I'm sure it's a combination of all these factors. @Scoota - I'm interested in the roof if between the time I'm next in Melbourne and your next project you haven't already used it. But don't wait on me, I'll find another if I have to or just wheel up my own patch panel. I agree though, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Someone has to give it a go and try and perhaps fail so we all know what is and isn't possible. We can't just rely on someone else to do it first before giving it a go. Of course it helps, but the cost of a 2+2 roof skin will be a fraction of a 2 seater roof I'd think. So worth a punt!
  9. Carsales must give you the option of inserting prewritten text about a car. It very much reads like template based text. I thought it was typical car dealer speak but I'm seeing it in all their Ads recently.
  10. I've paid up and enrolled today, so yep back in class in Tuesday.
  11. After a series of technical hiccups the Tafe Enrolment system appears to be working. Course resumes Tuesday night and will be longer classes over shorter week span. http://sydneytafe.edu.au/course-details/165-29588V01/tafe-plus-statement-in-introduction-to-vehicle-restoration#results You should be able to enrol online via that link. If you're interested. Cost is around $525 or so.
  12. Sounds about right, I was surprised they had these items readily available. Everywhere else I've tried returned no stock for same part no's.
  13. Celica discussion by Shannons TV
  14. I used their contact form on the contact page.
  15. I had a slump in motivation recently, I've found that getting out to the garage and just doing something, anything, no matte how small kick starts your motivation. For me it was simply fitting some items to the drivers door so I could close it and continue with the alignment of the door etc.. @Rev - it already looks polished?
  16. I sent them an email, going to see what they have to say about various part no.s and availability. I suspect their website returns the inventory thanks to a valid part no. but once you place the order you'll be informed parts are NLA etc.. Will see what they say though...
  17. By the way that little lock washer I asked about is part no. 08916-43610 but my search reveals none in stock. Funny enough that site mentioned earlier here. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,15682.msg165413.html#msg165413 Comes back with a green light.... http://www.newautoparts.com/nissan/oe-nissan/0891643610
  18. Here is a great example of a rip off....(part no. 08723-11400) http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-Nissan-Datsun-240Z-Fuel-Hose-Clamps-10Pack-/151603191905 $64.99 for 10 of them... I can get the same 10 for $15.60....
  19. Nope but they came up recently when I did a search for a Nissan OEM part no. Saying they had it.. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,15673.msg165355.html#msg165355 Give em' a whirl and let us know how you go perhaps?
  20. No problem, we get spam sometimes in the form of single posts from random usernames we've not seen before and it was hard to tell if you're a genuine user or not. Work away.
  21. Welcome first poster, are you actually a legit user? Please reply or I'll delete your account.
  22. Agreed, do you know of any good fastener suppliers in Sydney? Quick Google I found these guys... http://www.premierfasteners.com.au/manufacturing/ I wonder how many people would be interested in having OEM fasteners replicated?
  23. I see you guys figured out where to drill holes for fender mirrors eventually? Looks good with Black Wheels.

    sold.

I can't figure out why it hasn't sold? Cheap as chips.
  25. I'm not so worried about the finish, it's more chasing little bits and pieces all the time. I'd rather be able to order from the 1 place and get replacement fasteners etc.. rather than having to go the eBay route all the time. I'm trying to keep as many of the original fasteners where possible but obviously some are rusted / snap and in this case I'm just missing the washer which I'd rather not start a new thread for each time. I'll look up the part no's for these, Nissan might just have them or an equivalent part. To be honest I haven't checked, but I figure if the eBay sellers have them, they must be getting them from somewhere else and charging a mark up.
