  1. I'd say you would see the weld beads inside, also the widened ones I've seen no longer have the date stamp on the inner rim area as they just cut off the outer rim and retained the inner portion.
  2. HS30 00843 Whoever owned this parts manual possibly also owned this car. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-240Z-260Z-Datsun-parts-catalog-S30-/132356474837
  3. Just remember fellas and gals there is nuttin' shhhhhticky tape cannot fix! Appears to be a genuine HS30-H I'm guessing it will fall in the range: HS30-121XX - HS30-1000XX (based on L24 engine no.) https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/c621673060 More photos. https://box.yahoo.co.jp/guest/viewer?sid=box-l-pwyjgi7wmckhqjyjazxxel2pky-1001&uniqid=2ddbb1e5-6b9a-416f-92d6-fec67a1c58f9#du%3D2ddbb1e5-6b9a-416f-92d6-fec67a1c58f9%26ds%3Dbox-l-pwyjgi7wmckhqjyjazxxel2pky-1001%26vt%3Dpublic%26lf%3Dthumbnail%26ls%3D1%26lm%3D20
  4. I guess I was also interested in seeing how your lower lip looked fitted to the car.
  5. Yes I seem to think 5.5j is the widest available also.
  6. We're they widened? Hard to say. I don't know if they were ever available in 7" wide from Nissan.
  7. Curious if you can share photos?
  8. Can't last long at that price for a 2 seater.
  9. By the way where did you get the Momo hub? I found a few on eBay but they all have ugly plastic shrouds around them. I am weighing up the Mach hub adaptor vs sourcing a cheap Momo with the Mach adapter for it. I think I'll probably find it cheaper to just get the full hub and horn assembly.
  10. So.... this happened.. I still need to buy the hub (or momo hub + mach adaptor) and horn assembly... First impression was, this is really really light. I expected it to weigh more like the stock wheel or compe wheel but it's incredibly light. Did you find the same? I have to admit I liked the polished alloy look more, but the black is probably less common. I also didn't buy this new, traded it for something else so colour wasn't so much of an option. Mine does not say "mach" on the front spoke (only has Mach on the underside of the bottom spoke), I believe there was a few variations however of this sort of "branding". Not sure which S30Z to fit it to yet (first world S30Z problems I suppose).
  11. Will ad photos later. $49k 260z 2 seater. https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/lysterfield-south/cars-vans-utes/datsun-260z-2-seater/1162291882 $15,200 260z 2 seater 74. https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/wellington-point/cars-vans-utes/datsun-260z-1974-coupe/1161334435 Rusty 2+2 (Topy's not included) $1,500 https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/joyner/cars-vans-utes/datsun-260z/1162068800
  12. +4 offset though, do you think 0 offset would make a difference? *Edit positive offset might actually help reduce wheel scrub I'd imagine?
  13. The guy I'm trying to import stuff from is slow moving, he's up in the air as to what he wants to sell and keep. I haven't been pushing it too hard because I have had tax returns, bills to sort etc.. I have got a couple of roof turrets on their way and importing a bonnet etc.. I already imported 1 set of wheels (keeping for myself at the moment) and a rear 1/4 panel to get familiar with the process and costs etc.. I've been in touch with a couple of other folks stateside with panels etc.. but always difficult when you haven't met them in person. Their communication sort of drops off. I find eBay good because sellers are willing to ship within the US relatively easily and they have confidence in eBay ratings etc.. but often I'm not dealing with a bulk shipment so it's 1 off items here and there. I think a couple have expressed interest in the 73 wheels, but I can try find more. A guy in LA has a bunch also, but they tend to be spare wheels out of parts cars so hard to find a set of 73's with the same month stamp, if that's a concern? I guess it's a bit like rivet counting at that stage.. Side note: My first 73 240z had all it's Topy's on it when I went to see it (no hubcaps fitted as 1 had fallen off and the owner didn't want to lose them so he removed them all and put them aside) and I just keep thinking how much I regret not taking them years ago! Still kills me inside...
  14. I suspect it comes down to tyre size.
  15. What size tyres Mark? Also are you running stock suspension / struts etc..? Ever had rubbing problems on guards?
  16. Looks like an honest example to me.. https://www.facebook.com/groups/991208027571070/permalink/1877207932304404/?sale_post_id=1877207932304404
  17. Damn, following thread anyway.
  18. All the Australian 240K's gone overseas.
  19. Yeah I kinda thought about same thing. Could use adhesive, but in fairness small holes can easily be welded back up again later.
  20. Feedback from Freddy at TopStage is that you'd need to make 1000s to make it worthwhile...
  21. Not sure if serious? It looks like an OEM manifold lobbed off on 1 end to fit the "square" plenum. I do wonder how well it worked.
  22. Hi Folks, As the subject says, I recently acquired this OEM front lip spoiler which I have grown more fond of over the years. These are getting more difficult to find and I was thinking about having them reproduced in the original polyurethane (as opposed to fiberglass). I'm wondering if anyone here knows of a business / place that would be good to approach about remaking these? I was thinking about asking Freddy at Top Stage. But is there anyone else that folks can suggest? My gut feeling is that these would be popular? I'm pretty sure they are with the European S30Z owners.
  23. Whilst I'm sure it will score many Internet points, this kind of build isn't really my thing.. I much prefer period correct stuff these days. I think there is such a thing as too much power. This car will be great for Red Bull commercials and the like, but for me it's all about the character of the original car. I can't see this car being anything like the original S30Z once done. To each their own of course.
  24. By the way this might be useful to you.
