  1. Think you messaged me on Facebook? http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/16934-2-seater-roof-turret-skin-available/
  2. They are close, but not quite as thick and perhaps a little more flimsy than the OEM ones. I personally would spend another $200 for a genuine 1 over a copy... if you want help identifying which ones which let me know?
  3. Iron cross style, cast alloy wheels. Those ones have been painted in a silver colour.
  4. I have no immediate plans to race any of my cars at this stage. But if I was going to race in any category it would be SC I think. I'll be happy to just get my cars on the road again at this stage.
  5. Cheap Checkman wheel, slightly used... https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h307167770
  6. I still reckon Triple Mikuni/Solex set up well, simple... not that expensive in grand scheme of things (won't lose value as someone will always want a decent set) and once tuned correctly you shouldn't have to make any adjustments. I love mine, can't rave about them enough!
  7. Buy it now $9,200 (HS30 in NZ). 1972 Nissan Datsun 240Z - Build number #1258 (originally silver) - It's actually a 71. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=1568618276&tm=email&et=45&mt=7F1F0D31-C106-4483-BC9A-C7464ADF110F Previously listed here. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/1924-cars-for-sale-3rd-party-sites-ebay-carsales-etc/?p=200888
  8. Gav how much to weld a head? I would speak to Les Collins racing, I can't say how much exactly because I've never actually had it all done. My E31 cylinder head repairs (required some welding) along with new valve seats, reground camshaft, water blasting etc.. cost me around $2k all up. But E31's are getting so hard to find now that it was worth saving in my opinion. These E88's make sense if you can get them at the right price. I believe they might not quite have the same short side radius as a P90 though? But I tend to view them as the high compression version of a P90. But the real value / desire is for SC racing folks.
  9. Early 240z. https://boise.craigslist.org/cto/d/1971-datsun-240z-series-1/6517257762.html $5k USD.
  10. So I had this 260z rear valance section which is quite different, aside from the form of the top part of it. So off it goes...cut cut cut.. The trickiest part here is trimming the 2 pieces so they join in the middle with minimal gap (to assist with welding them together). I plan to mig weld (tack weld) it into place to hold them together in the right spot. How it looks from the rear. I was trying to avoid having to unspot weld the bracket at the rear and the brackets that hold the rear interior boot trim in. Although both pieces were quite rusted so I'll have to measure up where the the piece that's missing goes. Unfortunately my rear boot plastic trim is distorted from heat and is not a good template.
  11. Haha, yeah. I've seen a few people asking $1000 for them, but at a certain point you should just reweld an earlier E88. They are desired by SC racing guys I think because you're allowed to remove material from a head but not allowed to add anything. So a good starting point.
  12. They are worth about $300 which I'll happily give you. ?
  13. Hey folks, It looks like someone has decided to start making reproduction parts, but is listing them as genuine. Nothing wrong with reproductions, but listing them as genuine is deceitful. http://www.240260280.com/Marketplace/Fake%20Parts/Fake%20Z%20Parts.html Example here. https://m.ebay.com/itm/DATSUN-69-70-240Z-D-HUBCAPS-1st-Generation/123002344687?epid=17015123575&hash=item1ca382d4ef%3Ag%3AogoAAOSwBU1aihik And here. https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/wto/d/datsun-240z-hubcaps-excellent/6501221907.html
  14. 30k GBP for that lump...the front bar is uglier than the original 280z bumpers.
  15. PS I know you just want to sell a motor lol..
  16. Hey George not sure I have the details of the donor car. Do you know what vin no.it was? I assume it's dead now?
  17. That's what I need! Will send PM.
  18. Green Hornet again.
  19. Will do, I just noticed it was missing so obviously someone had a tinker with mine before and forgot to put it back on.
  20. As shown in this photo. I need the RH side however that goes on the right SU carb (not the carb 1 with the vacuum advance port on it) - mine is missing (also the fastener and washer if possible?)
  21. RE: #2 and #3. Using a vice with soft cloth wrapped around the fuel bowl and lid I managed to get these off with some gentle persuasion. However I noticed I'm missing the locking bracket for the RH carb body (side closest to driver on rear of motor). Going to have to source 1.
  22. Genuine Compe Wheel (not a copy). https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/l429253920 ~$780 AUD though!
  23. ~$600+ for an early steering wheel. https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/o225406565
  24. Looks like L24-125911 would suit a 73 model. L24-468462 - Too late for a 240z, might have been a Skyline motor. If it's a closed chamber E88 George I'm interested Does it have injector ports?
  25. Other alternative is the "Datsun Compe" wheel, lots of replica's around now. Around $500 odd..
