onree Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Hi All, I've always wanted to own a 1971 240Z ever since I was 16! However I could never afford or make time to restore one, till now. I recently bought the car as a shell with matching engine and I'm planning to restore this over a looooong time. Everything about this car will need to be repaired or fixed but I figure if I do it methodically and slowly I should be right. I love cars and even studied Industrial Design in the hope I could design cars, but when I saw that I sucked at that I thought why not restore a car instead. So I see my car as my passion first and a hobby second. I love reading through all your restorations as it give me inspiration and hope. I am based in Sydney, so if there are any locals who can point me in the right direction that would be much appreciated. I will try and keep you all posted, but I think it will be more questions that anything else. Cheers Henri (Onree) Quote

MaygZ Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 G'day 'enry. Welcome. Why have people assumed that you speak french based purely on your first name? They must be courteous racists .... even studied Industrial Design in the hope I could design cars, but when I saw that I sucked at that I thought why not restore a car instead. LMAO. You may suck at design, but it seems you can recognise a good design when you see one. Welcome Henri With the help of Google... Le meilleur conseil est aussi continuer à économiser de l'argent et posez beaucoup de questions, d'apprendre des erreurs des autres. 'The best advice is to continue to save money and a lot of questions, learn from others' mistakes.' Now if our Tinpot Hitler comes on here speaking french then I know they have both become: les branleurs plus grands mondes Quote
