Could be the go Wayne. I got some new tricks for the girl throwing out the Edelbrock and replacing it with a Mechanical Secondaries 650 Holley. Also there's the new hood scoop to be fitted soon and the Nitrous kit after i rebuild the engine.

How about you bring the NOS to the Xmas BBQ?

And we all pass it around taking tokes, laughing our heads off!

I thought of that but then on the bottle it says it can be fatal. But hey i'm sure Auszcar would make the national news for the first time.

The paint on Lucinda was starting to chalk a little so i gave it a quick sand and threw on some Jet Black on the weekend. I'll redo it again in a couple of weeks just to tidy up bits i missed.

Looking a lot better mate, the flat black was cool but the shiny surface helps show the curves of the old girl. The 2+2's tend to look better in the darker colours also as it tends to make the extended roofline less obvious.

I just paid the rego on this Zed and traveled about 13.000 Kilometers this past year. Still going strong and i'm currently putting together parts for a killer engine package. Might need another run on the Dyno and some wider tyres on the rear!

Ooooh sounds promising, what are the plans for the engine?

Alloy heads, roller rockers, overbore, full balance, chrome moly pushrods. You get the idea, all the good stuff.

And a 3.5" stroke ?

There is no such thing as too much power...except maybe when you start twisting the chassis ;D Did you seam weld or reinforce it when you did the engine conversion and is there much weight difference between the L series and the v8 with alloy heads? Maybe an alloy block might be worth considering too? Will the R200 be up to the task?

The jet black looks good :)

Cheers

R200 are good up to 330 Ft/lbs of torque. The car has extended chassis rails but is not seam welded. The car weighs 1300Kgs as it sits but the weight loss from the alloy heads gets the Cleveland at the same weight as the L series but the transmission is still heavier. I like the black too but it will only be like this for one year.

I was either going to go for a stroker or nitrous. Of course you have to build the engine to handle nitrous but it's only a 150 shot so it doesn't require anything dramatic.

Why not both  :D

I just replaced the engine with this stand in.

I needed to get the block that the car was engineered out so i can build the Stroker. Yes, Stroker! I happened across a stroker kit on Gumtree, brand new, and made the guy an offer so i have most of the bits to start building.
