reverendzed Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Hey guys, As some have noticed I've been a bit quiet of late! Busy with trying to sell a house, clean up, major fundraisers for our charity, business trips to the U.S....and selling Revzed 3.0! Well some things are beginning to settle slightly and some plans for the future may be starting to gel somewhat which has caused me to put the 'feelers' out for a new ZED, I'm not going full project this time, I think I've done enough, so I'm after a 240/260 (may consider a 2+2) that doesn't need a full Rev resto! So, just putting it out there, feel free to email or PM with any ideas. Rev. Quote
Ben Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 You could always buy my DR30 - lots of Nissan goodness, with next to zero work required (mainly 2 new front tyres!) Quote
reverendzed Posted November 15, 2010 Author Posted November 15, 2010 Thanka for the offer Ben but it is a ZED only choice! Rev. Quote
Scoota G Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 So, You've done the L28, The triple Dellortos, The Triple Mikuni, The 2+2, The 2 Seater, The Flares and Spoilers, The racing stripes, The silver, The White, The retro ....... budddy!!!! Don't think outside the box, Re-invent it. Showcase your talents with a car that will become part of your sole. I'm going to offer a suggestion. RB30 Turbo 2+2 in in Grand Prix Brown Metallic with standard Alloy wheels resized to 15 X 7. And then .... don't sell it Scoota Quote
luvemfast Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 And then .... don't sell it That seems to be the key Quote
reverendzed Posted November 15, 2010 Author Posted November 15, 2010 No regrets! We do what is the best at the time and then we move on!...and on....and on....and Rev. Quote
Scoota G Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 No regrets! We do what is the best at the time and then we move on!...and on....and on....and Rev. No Doubt it just kills me to see you create these Beautiful Machines and then part with them. For what it's worth you have extended the Zed community in many different directions and multiple folds. Teach us to excel Rev. Scoota Quote
620Z Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Yes Rev I have to agree with Scoota. I wish you had kept your old one. I reckon you will do a full resto or close to on your next Zed. Simply because anything you get won't be up to your high standards. I am glad to hear your are putting the feelers out. But I hope you find and keep a nice Zed this time mate. Good luck. Quote
reverendzed Posted November 15, 2010 Author Posted November 15, 2010 I'm thinking, full satin black body wrap sitting low on minimum 10" rears, black tint, L28 Turbo or 3LT stroker, almost a 'mad max Zed' ummm, I can already see it! Rev. Quote
DatPilot Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Ive always wanted to do a 10th anniversary 280z they look great. Gold with black stripes and details. My mate here keeps going on about some 'scarab z' butI got no idea what he means.... Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted November 16, 2010 Moderators Posted November 16, 2010 Rev, I think you are doing the Aust zed community a huge favour by restoring some avg cars and "releasing" them back out onto the roads. Zeds that would've been scrapped or worse. Quote
FuzzyDropbear Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 You know you're always welcome in the 2+2 family Rev You know you want to! Otherwise, there's that yellow 2 seater for sale at the moment with the V8 conversion, which looks like it needs a bit of loving Quote
gilltech Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 DatPilot, I think your mate is referring to the USA 'Scarab' Chev V8 conversions of the '70s. Trying to recall what I've read years ago, I think one could either buy turn-key modified Zcars from a company, or purchase the bits from them required to install a Chev & whatever else you wanted yourself. I've seen two while overseas in the early 90's, one in Vancouver & another in Hawaii, their owners weren't around but I had a fairly close look at them, they had modified bodywork including flared guards, rear wing, vented rear guards, square headlamps (yes, square!), etc. There's a thought, Rev? Quote
reverendzed Posted November 16, 2010 Author Posted November 16, 2010 definitely no Scarab copies! but keen to produce something else that is distinctive although this time may focus more on the 'go' than the 'show'. Rev. Quote
