What's the story behind your avatar? Is it your car? Your dog or maybe your favourite photo, character from childhood cartoons etc etc and why did you chose it to represent you?

I was over at Pauly's place earlier today and through conversation I remembered an old avatar I used to use. I've changed to is so you can see it now. The photo, which I've attached, was taken right after I got back from the drags on my first outing. I scraped all the rubber off the guards and exhaust and had enough to write 240Z. I thought it made a neat picture so I took one with a crappy camera I had at the time.

My avatar is just a pic of a IMSA GTU car from the US belonging to a Brad Frisselle. One heaps of races around the mid to late seventies. I just like any pic of a highly modified zed used for racing; pretty much what I'm building mine to do mainly! I feel you pour so much cash into these things...might as well get your moneys worth in excitement! ;D

Hey George, next time you come back from the drags I want you to spell out "ONARUN"

In that magical black tyre stuff.

If you don't get enough I'll give you a hand, I just need you keys for a minute.

Promise I'll come back...............................

ive always had a soft spot for beetlejuice. dunno why i use his ugly mug. on other sites i use other pics, like a cow liking its nose, dr strangelove, roobarb etc etc

but you know, i think beetlejuice is an affable enough character, slightly devious, self centred, i can relate to these things!

Likewise my friend.

I had nightmares from BeetleJuice when I was a kid - but when I saw it years later

I thought it was brilliantly 'black' & whitty :)

Well, after 5 years I've got a new avatar. This one was taken on a dress up cruise I organised for the MX5 club a couple of years ago. Was a blast going to Berry for breakfast with a bunch of weirdos in tow. The locals, and tourists alike, loved us.

Positively creepy George. :)

For some reason you remind me (Rhys Darby) Murray from Flight of the Concords.

My avatar comes from this car.

Specially this photo, I just photoshopped it and made it red. At the time I liked the car, but now looking at it I hate the rear flares. Although I have to be honest I definitely have seen worse things done to an S30Z.

I haven't changed my avatar because I'm scared nobody will recognise me anymore :) 8)

Mine is the now V8 project two seat 280ZX taken a couple of years ago exiting Eastern Loop, Lakeside. It is one of a few a pro took that day, the one below shows the inside front wheel lifting which is cool.

Bathurst 2008

Easter race meeting run by FOSC.

As a regular club level racer, none f us ever considered we'd get within bulls roar of actually racing flag to flag at Mt Panorama, THE most iconic race teack in the country.

In 2007 FOSC announced that for those that supported their events, and had the correct upgraded CAMS full National race licensing, you were in with a chance.

Some 700 f us got that chance, as club level enthusiadts, this was the shizz!

In 2008 fastest lap time, 2.45

Two years later, i took my Spirts 2000 there, it had first run there in 1969, cracked it for 2.43's, but that's another car, on other forums.
