Hi what do you think would be a fair price for these parts to send to South Africa.? Do you think $300 AUD plus frt would be too much?

Dunno about SA, but recently I sent four new 9x15 rims to Washington USA, via Australia Post, at $500 AUD.

With the US dollar so strong, once total price of rims and freight were converted to USD, urchaser didn't bat an eyelid.

I found FedEx, and other US based carrirs very costly.

The items above should all fit into one box, maybe let the purchaser in SA look into getting them collected from you, ie he arranges all shipping, customs, duty, etc, out of SA?

Was just going to post, but I was only wanting to know if the price was fair for the items even though they are not in very good condition but he doesn't really care as they are impossible to source in SA.

Based on the advertised price of the individual parts on eBay, your price of $300 is reasonable for the lot.

Box it all up, weigh the box, then see what quote you get on the Interparcel website.

Interparcel did a door to door pick up/delivery service when I sent a parcel to the UK at a very reasonable rate.

Id Say $200. Ive personally thrown out stuff like that. I think apart from the datsun badges and the wiper motor bracket most of the other stuff doesnt hold much value, considering 2+2 parts are common. And people usually upgrade the wiper motor to a civic one etc.

I'm with Retro Z, I'd say $200 tops, and that's only if the motor works well and isn't starting to seize up as they are wont to do.

Does he really need the motor? I suppose it's plug'n'play though. But on FB he was just asking for the bracket, and the motor will be heavy to post whereas all the rest of the stuff is light.

I don't think the '260Z' badges for the guards are reproduced, nor the 2+2 pillar badges. But they're not worth very much if the pins are broken off.

Yes could be dodgy. Might be better to let it go for a while and let him chase you not the other way around.

260z badges are difficult to find. 280z is ok but 260z is rare.

Thing is why would this guy want to buy this crap when you can get new reproductions on the net. Have asked him plenty of times to join here but still hasn't done so. Might be a Scam me thinks.

Ask him to send the full purchase and postage costs to you using something like PayPal cash at which time you will then send him the parcel.

This should determine if he is genuine.

But what's plentiful in one country may be rare in another. I'd ask for $300, after all the buyer can always come back with a counter offer.

Agreed on $200 and he has a mate in South Australia so only have to send parts there. Awaiting payment. Trying to get him to join us here.

Globally speaking 260z badges are rare.

This will bring the worms out of the wood work Gav and flood the market with 260 fender badges. LOL. Wish I had a box full.

Z Car Depot has the 260 fender badges back in stock.

There are also some just listed on FB, but they are metal not plastic and 1 1/2" shorter than the originals, plus don't have the pins on back.

I don't know if they and the ZCD ones are the same or not.

ZCD:

New 260Z front fender emblem. High quality metal construction reproduction emblem. This emblem is about 1.5" shorter than the original 260Z fender emblem but once installed cant tell the difference. Comes with self stick backing so no holes required.

Mine are the "STUCK" on type and who can tell the difference from 10'. LOL

Something like that would drive me nuts, haha.

Any reason you went the "stuck on type" rather than OEM?

If you showed yours to a woman she would know it was not 10" !

I can see you don't know the difference between ' and " .  Keep it clean please.

They were the only ones I could find at the time. Unless you can get your head up behind the mudguard you wouldn't know the difference. Some supercars are only stuck together these days so I can't see that it matters.

Fair enough, thanks for the reply. I hope I didn't offend, everyone has their own ideas of what they want their build to be, and I just find the reasoning to some choices to be interesting.
