260ZMELB Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Hi, im new i just joined up. Would love some advice as i am thinking about lowering my 75 260z. At the moment it has stock suspension. I was on the technotoytuning website and they offer a bolt on set of adjustable coilovers. This way i get to save my original set and have these replace them. $3,405 AUD by the time it comes to my door. Can anyone think of a cheaper or better idea? Please help as i am just getting into the Z game. THANKYOU! Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted December 12, 2016 Administrators Posted December 12, 2016 I'd speak with a local specialist like Stewart Wilkins. http://www.swmotorsport.com.au/ He's helped build many successful rally and race cars. Importing stuff is expensive, not only because of size/weight, but also because of import duties on anything over $1000 AUD. Quote
C.A.R. Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 If your only goal is to lower your Z, then just get some lower Kings springs: $300 for all 4.They will lower your Z by 30mm - any more than this & you'll run into geometry issues. Quote
Agno Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 For that price I would also be asking MCA suspension to make you a bespoke set. CBR Jeff 1 Quote
andyk_79 Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 +1 for King Springs coupled with a decent set of shocks. Unless you want to fit wheels wider than 7 inch then the standard struts are fine. Quote
Geos260 Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 mate i would go for them, best thing i ever done for mine, i shopped around heaps in australia to put a set of coilovers they r gonna cost u more by the time u buy them and cut them and fabricate and all the headache, these just bolt on and u can lower ur car as much as u want and raise it as mush as u want Quote
d3c0y Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 MCA is a no brainier on this one. CBR Jeff 1 Quote
44014 Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 For that price I would also be asking MCA suspension to make you a bespoke set. Not bespoke, I know of at least a dozen cars now with MCA coil overs fitted. Quote
geoffdy Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 Another +1 for King springs if you just want to lower your ride a bit. Quote
