be-zed Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Perhaps you would like to bring your Zed to Lakeside on 23 November. Hopefully there may be a few of us from here at the track .But I do know there will be a orange Rb26 running on the day. Details of the day will be released this week in the QLD section. ryanmac 1 Quote

charleszed Posted April 13, 2016 Author Posted April 13, 2016 (edited) OK.... Its been a long time and i thought i would post a few things now that the Zed is in my opinion "Honestly" 100% complete, nothing more to do this car has been a roller coaster of a build from his to low and everywhere in between. Since last post the car had to be completely repainted and rebuilt to the monster it is now.... due to improper Application originally, while i was there i decided to send engine to Peter Mcdonnell, Got a complete rebuild and has forged and Billet stuff everywhere, Motel M84 and Raychem Loom , Full Arizona Z Car suspension, 6 piston wildwood front 4 piston willwood rear hydraulic handbrake braided lines everywhere 2000hp fuel system Billet Driveshafts Rebuilt Gearbox - Isotropix coated and tempered for hardening Twin Plate - Direct Clutch Services Billet Clutch Ceramic Coated 3.5 Inch Oval Exhaust Tomei Dumps Billet Custom Camshafts to Peter Mcdonnel Spec's Katz 2 way Diff Fully Rebuilt Volk TE37 Wheels ( Thanks Paul Henshaw on Sweet Deal ) Complete interior restoration and pretty much rebuilt car and took it to next level. there is so many things i could put in this post about what and how i have done stuff but it would never end. pictures tell a thousand words and i hope everyone can enjoy the images. This car has been a 3 year build ( Dream Build Drive ) this car was built by myself in my shed and have had special help from some true gentleman of the zed game, Peter Mcdonnel ( Engine ) Paul Henshaw ( Engine Covers and expensive Contacts ) Les Collins Racing ( Wiring and Bench Tune ) Gt Auto ( E85 Tune ) Car Makes 506 Rwkw @24psi on E85 I am Happy to answer questions and give info where i can. See links and i have a Mini movie in the works from start to finish 2 years and 8 months goal was for a RB26 Zed and nothing to crazy... next thing i know i got 680 hp and more Billet Parts then i can poke a stick at This car has gone from Mild to Wild and i Love Every Bit of It I wouldn't Change anything and to me this is my Dream Zed and Exactly What i Wanted and dreamt of when i First Started looking 3 years ago. I have learnt a heap of things along the way and have taken the Datsun 260z to the limit for Street Car Use and Driving this Beast is just Mind Blowing. If you ever want a guy to truly help take ur project to next level Peter Mcdonnell is the man for the job. he is a true professional and not many chaps have the passion that he has for his trade. he literally drove to my place Vic to Brisbane to hand deliver the engine! who does that My Datsun Was Built by me in my shed and i learnt all the wrong ways to do stuff and now i have it where it needs to be ( No Compromise ) this car will be out and about at some functions coming up this year so look out for it. went to drags for first time ever and ran a 11 sec pass at 133 mph with heaps of wheel spin and a missed 2nd gear haha low 10's is my goal Edited April 13, 2016 by charleszed GongZ, hmd, d3c0y and 1 other 4 Quote
GongZ Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 (edited) Hi Charles, I don't see any photos or links yet. In case the new software, that the forum now uses, has confused you - click on the "More Reply Options" button at the bottom right. And 506 rwkW = shiezers!! AK Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Just read the build for the first time - Impressive amount of work in a short time span - with a build list of quality parts through out. Well done on doing such a impressive build so quickly. Some on board gopro action would be great to see it must be seriously quick! Cheers AK Quote
