Nissan offered Radio blanking plates that would allow you to have a small storage compartment and mount a small modern music device out of site. I made a blanking plate for mine, just out of sheet metal, wrapped in faux leather. I'll take a pic if needed http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0407/7553/products/IMG_8134_1024x1024.JPG?v=1475812775

Fantastic progress Dave, coming along fantastically -
They'll work, they fit aircraft wings like that...

Brilliant George congrats

Fit a set of early 240 sunvisors today. They were filthy. They got a wash, dye and amourall. Also cut some mdf out and covered with vinyl to finish off the footwell area Next I want to fit luggage straps. Anyone have a set lying around?
-
Seat vinyls came from Warren at a great price, quality is very good also.Support straps are made from a role of seat belts. My mother in law used to work at a seat belt factory before it closed down 10+ years ago, I knew a few role would come in handy. My dad stitched them with nylon thread for strength.

Drivers seat finished today. I lined the back with a yoga mat to give some extra cushion. Took out for a drive a very comfortable. I left a tad of slack in some areas to let it settle with weight, I'll see how it'll settle

Looks great Scotty, the wood contrast with interior certainly breaks it up. Gav I wouldn't regret the comp, I needed a thicker wheel on the mini when I would go on a tour Gav, drivers seat I bought new high density foam from clark rubber and trimmed it into shape with a electric meat knife. I then did a layer of hessian from a potato sack. I'll post some photos soon

I didn't even know there was meant to be a chain on the cap. Another thing added to the list...

We all have those 1% jobs that need attending to when we get a spare minute, so I thought i'd start a thread that's updates the small jobs we tick off the list each week that may not go in your build thread. Oil changes, fluid changes, etc - what fluids used, etc, etc, etc Hope this helps with motivation, hints and thought starters that we can all use on our own cars. So here goes, this weekend I finally fit; -A working clock I got from Gav -replaced 2 broken bulbs in my speedo and clock (took the speedo drive cable off to get to the top bulb from under the dash) -got my heater working in time for winter (the wire had snapped off the lever) -Fit my hazard light switch (for some reason I missed the need to fit a second flasher can and was wondering why i couldn't get it working Next on the list; finish reupholstering my seats and make some covers that fills in the interior hinge area in the foot wells

Congrats Gav. Well deserved. I'm a fan of 907 green, although I'm a fan of any clean Z in any colour!

Changes To Vehicle Import Rules. Sevs Etc.
Ponyo240z replied to gav240z's topic in Off Topic Discussions
PB; Do vechicle importers need to provide proof of purchase price in Japan to the government. Perhaps the government wants to clamp down on washing dirty (undeclared) money through these businesses. Or are there other lobby's at force here....perhaps car companies already in the market trying to protect share in an already competitive new car market? -
I'm certainly interested. Personally. Would like a book, something I can sit on the lounge and browse. I spend too much time looking at computer screens

My dad recalls paying $12k for a new 260 2 seater in 78. He said you could buy 2 and a half Holden premiers for that coin and you could buy a house for $35k. Cars a certainly cheaper now
