  1. Dad is sending back a fixed Jeco clock to its owner today. The same member will be forwarding on another one or two for repair now. So he has now worked on all the pre quartz clocks and is willing and has all parts for a quick turn around. Pull your finger out boys as dad does have health issues and wont be round forever. Just pm me and ill forward on his details. I dont get anything from this, just piece of mind knowing hes pre occupied with somthing to do.
  2. Pmd you.
  3. Good luck. I had the same problem when i did mine and put it back with a thin homemade gasket and was too thin and bound up the pump.i cant remember the thickness i ended up going with.but be careful of this.
  4. I have a couple of other items also.... Series 1 280z caps -SOLD. Never opened old school linkage kit $100 All this selling up is to fund a good quality gravity fed spray gun. So if you have one with minimal use, barter with me or show me what you have. Thanks
  5. Mikunis are still available. See pics below for comparison up against my front and rear 260 lines.Front is the one on the bench.so obviously the rear is not even close and the front is slightly different.
  6. Hi guys i have a few odd bits that i want to move on.Prices negotiable and i can post most of them if you want. Theres an E30 carby head in need of alot of love-no cam or towers-SOLD standard full set of good used valve springs$20 front strut seal kit for 240z i think(part number is visible)$20 rear brake hard lines for 240-SOLD coil and resistor off 260z with about 20mins use $20 front castor poly kit $10 Harmonic balancer-SOLD a pair of 40mm Mikuni carbs that are not complete and need love also-SOLD I havent post these anywhere else at this stage so go nuts. Thanks Simon
  7. I have a spare flap off a 2+2 in good condition if this one here is no good.
  8. Actually i dont mind that colour blue. It does need love but is that an original colour?
  9. Does it have the vent pull tab bits? And clock?.....
  10. Yes definitely interested mate. Ill pm you.
  11. My clocks are from early 75 260z 2+2 and the other members clock was 77. These clocks were slightly different in bold nubering but yes they are different from the 240z clock which he hasnt worked on yet. But they are the same principle being pre quartz design and im certain hes up to the job. Hes very electronic savy and was a tv technician when i was a kid so this simple circuit board definitely doesn't overwhelm him. I wouldn't post this ad if i thought id be wasting peoples time. He has even gone to the extent of ordering bulk capacitors and resistors that hes has found to be the failed components in the clocks so far.
  12. Thanks Andrew and Cozza?
  13. Theres an episode of mighty car mods when they went to Japan to pick up the 240z and they hit a race track. Might give you something to go off.....
  14. Hi guys, recently i gave my dad a couple of clocks to see if he could fix them. He went right over them and did fix them. So i gave him another members clock to fix and he repaired this one too! So i have asked him if he would like me to post an ad on here to generate some business for him, which he obviously accepted. My dads retired these days but still has some light work coming in from wesfarmers as he repairs electric fences for them. Im just trying to keep dad active and help you guys out too with this offer as i know theres not too many working clocks in the zeds out there.Im sure he'd be able to takle the rally clocks also. Because of the time involved in this repair hes asking only $50 per clock plus postage. He will only fix the clock, not refurbishing the entire housing and making it look pretty. As it takes about 2 hrs to fault find, replace dead component's and then get the time calibrated over a couple of days. If your interested PM me and ill forward on my dads details to you. Thanks,Simon.
  15. Im after the grab tabs (?) For the interior vents both sides if you have them.
  16. I did this recently. I used a wire wheel to clean up,wax n grease remover and then brushed on epoxy enamel. Looks good and epoxy shouldnt smell when hot. (I hope)
  17. Pm'd.
  18. I went the same direction as you in search for hardy spicer joints. Apparently they dont make them any more and the set i got were in a spicer box but there was a grinding mark on the joint to take off the GMB branding,so spicer are in fact GMB japan joints these days. Mine have the grease nipples, same part no.
  19. Pm sent.
  20. Iv had a few things posted up to me over the past couple of years by warren and they have all been good outcomes.
  21. Yes they are sold to me.
