  12. Hi Craig Agree St. Albans is a good stop. I haven't been there for a few years though. Is the last few K's still dirt ? I will go for a drive or ride out that way over the Xmas period and see what the roads are like. Either way looks like that part of world will be the destination. Cheers PB
  13. Hi Gav I am pretty sure the original stuff was somewhat flexible and adhesive backed. Over time it both it and the adhesive have just gone rock hard. Cheers PB

  16. Hi, Your car is looking amazing, such a high quality rebuild. Looks like there is a set of Splash Guards in one of those photo's. I will be interested in your thoughts on the quality and fit as I am thinking of getting some for my car. Cheers PB
  17. Which particular statement would you be reffering to as an understatement ?How the car goes or how the car looks
  18. Yes we considered that - when I was talking to Lurch in the weeks before the run and mentioned that the drive car would a Champagne Gold BMW Convertible his immediate reaction was. "Aren't we going to look like a couple of poofs cruising around in that " all that aside the 135i certainly gets along nicely
  19. Glad everyone had a good day and hopefully it has inspired a few folk (including me) to get their Z's mobile. Doesn't matter the condition let just get them out of the sheds and on the road. Thinking next run will be Feb - after the Xmas holiday period. Open to suggestions for a destination, but getting out of Sydney is a must. Possibly Putty Rd or maybe Wisemans Ferry road. Hopefully I will have the Bus on the road by then. Cheers PB
  20. Those US impact bumper bars really change the look of the car
  21. The interior has also progress, but this happened the weekend before.
  22. Haha, yes a bit of a Lurch forward. The plan was just to fix a small issue that had halted progress then drop the motor in before hitting the fridge but we just got carried away (on the car & fridge) The Beer Fridge works perfectly and now has plenty of room in it for Xmas.
  23. Hi All Big day of progress yesterday, got all the following fitted Motor & Gearbox Prop Shaft Radiator, Hoses, Shrouds etc L28E Air Cleaner Plus a whole pile of little things Ran into a couple of small issues with fitting an 280ZX L28E into a late 260Z - The throttle linkage from the firewall was 20mm short (both S30 & S130 rods are the same length, but the firewall brackets are different Have overcome the linkage, was lucky enough to a competent welder helping me Will need to take the shifter to a mate with an Oxy to heat and bend it. Next job - get the ECU loom integrated into the car. Getting a lot closer
  24. The last of the photo's (work keeps getting in the way) Thanks everyone for making the effort to come along, made for a great day. Cheers PB
  25. Gidday, Yep 8 S30's, and very pleased with that, hopefully at the next one there will be at least one more - a Blue Bus
