  1. you're looking at 10k+ for a half decent road worthy 2 seater
  2. Some pics from the GripShiftSlide import car show on the weekend. Props to the photographer.
  3. Nah. for 75k i'd take an s30 zed and a hakosuka.
  4. "some people might say that doing this is wrong. But even so, I don't care at all" less than a minute in and I love it already
  5. +1 this is ugliest car thread not fastest car thread, just accept it's ugly and let's move on
  6. agreed it is ugly but so is most time attack style aero
  7. My personal preference is chrome lipped wheels to make it pop, while everything else is blacked out.
  8. Yes get a 2+2, you can get them cheap like 5 grand for a decent one. Don't spend a dime on improving it. Just general maintenance. Start saving money. When you are older and have a job and can spend more coin, get a 2 seater and do it up nice.
  9. Before and after from back then from front. Biggest mistake I made is not taking a lot of before pics. Lesson learned. Take lots of pics! No matter what stage it's at.
  10. How did I miss this thread for so long, this looks sick!!!!!!!!!! I second everyone, well done for having the balls to do this, has really paid off. I reckon would be even better with no bumpers and 15 or 16" wheels.

    Floods!!!!!!

My thoughts to all those affected. I chose a real bad time for a holiday to Byron Bay. 4 out of 5 days raining and windy all day. The sea is crazy at the moment, waves breaking as far back as the eye can see.
  12. Stance and performance are not mutually exclusive. The whole stance movement came from low and wide time attack cars. To me, stance is a very broad term which is an aesthetic where the car is low to the ground and low clearance between tyre and body. It doesn't necessarily mean camber, stretched tyres, dish, so low you're scraping the ground, or being able to hold a card between the fender and tyre. That would be the hellaflush/fitment movement which is a subset of the stance movement. I can understand why people may dislike hellaflush, as it takes stance to a point where form is more important than function. But for many stanced cars, the form and function work together. I would regard v8 supercars and gt3 cars as being stanced. So I think if anyone is to write off stance all together they have to be a real traditionalist or not understand wha stance is.
  13. I will don't worry Ive had an azc coilover kit since I got the car but haven't put it in due to wanting to get it engineered. I went to an engineer and he said he wouldnt engineer it cause its outside regulations. So i will just put it in anyway and if i ever get dicked i will have to put it on club plates or find someone who will give me a rwc.
  14. Who doesn't prefer shaved? The only place hair belongs is on your head! Wasn't like that when I bought it. Lurch and DT panels gave this old girl a brazilian.
  15. More photos!
  16. where is rocky auto? Is that far from Tokyo?
  17. I'm running 16x10.5 on the rear with -32 offset. They have no issues with clearance inside but stick out a bit too much. I think around -25 would be good. The 9 and 9.5 rotas most people get fit well in terms of offset, I think the 9.5 is -16 so you'd need at least -16 on a 10".
  18. http://custompinoyrides.com/2011/07/the-devil-wears-rota-400whp-rb25det-datsun-240z-a-k-a-devil-z/ If you are after low aggressive stance with 17", this the kind of fitment you have to do. Cause they are so big, if you want to get the car close to the ground like less than 10cm you have to make the gap between the fender/flare and wheel really small.
  19. If you want to go for an agressive stance, you should try to get 15" or 16", 17" is a bit too high.
  20. triples cause they sounds good.
  21. Sweet!
  22. Sounds good, wish i had the balls to do that.
  23. the z store doesn't have them anymore?
  24. Not quite. the camber plates are weld in.
  25. Looking good. I think plates on the front are better to the side cause theres this kink in the boonet/grill/airdam and you dont want to disrupt that.
