  1. Thanks
  2. I dunno I never noticed the exhaust smell, maybe cause I'm a smoker though and lost my sense of smell a long time ago
  3. Alrighty, paint is going on
  4. lol
  5. Looks wise, there are lots of slight differences between 240 and 260 but to me it wasn't a deciding factor when looking for a car, it was 2 seater vs 2+2. I prefered 2 seater but there are lots of really cool 2+2's out there. I really feel that 2+2 doesn't look massively different, it's just that many people who choose 2+2 do so because they are on a budget, and that budget also applies to the restoration and modification. But those who spend lots of money and time on their 2+2s, and have a good sense of style, get great results. Similar deal with 280zx. Just look at Simon's 280zx it is one of my favourite zeds on the forum, and it's not a coincidence that it is that way, he has probably spent 5 times more money on it than the average 280zx owner. I don't think I've answered the question at all, just expressed some of my views, basically I like all the zeds, but I think they all benefit massively from modifications, and you gotta be prepared to put in a bit of cash after buying the car to get it looking nice.
  6. Yeah orange looks awesome on zeds, the more the better! I heard that only about 150 2 seater 260z were imported into australia so it is quite rare if this is true. I don't know much about it but that number would surprise me as I know quite a few 260z 2 seaters in Aus.
  7. sounds awesome. Yeah I changed my mind at the last minute, not going the same orange as that car from hybridz. I think the Porsche ft3 orange will look awesome, and the satin grey with it will look tough. Will be great to see it when it's done!
  8. Thanks guys My inspiration for the colour was this golf, Vu from DT's found the Lamborghini orange colour which was pretty similar so going with that. Which is the ZG zed that's inspired you?
  9. Rear bumper smoothed, primed, mirrors painted satin black, body is ready for paint now. Not long to go..... Colour will be a shade of orange called Lamborghini Arancio Borealis.
  10. you sure about that? Impressive list though
  11. Fate is telling you to keep it!
  12. I got this interesting head cover plate for the engine build. Haven't seen anyone with it before so I thought it'd be pretty unique.
  13. Nice! Very clean. I had a guy called daniel moore roadworthy mine with a minimum of fuss.
  14. I'd hazard a guess that no one really cares about matching numbers on Zeds, unless you have yourself a very early 240 then original motor might be worth something to someone.

  19. Hey Simon, go to google images and search "triple mikuni" then scroll down a little bit.
  20. I'll be there if I have my car back from being sprayed, and weather permitting.
  21. Not 100% yet. Will take the head to PMC for a port and see where we can go from there.
  22. Hi all, Been a while since an update. The car's been at DT Panels for the past 3 months, having work done and getting a new coat of paint. Cheers! Hamish
