  1. Great Pictures John Boy, And yes we will have to wait two years, but man it will be worth it, I think some of the boys will need two years to get there cars ready, if you know what I mean?
  2. Unfortunatly I had something on in the morning so I took the family down after lunch, and to my surprise at 1.10 pm it was all over, only a hand full of cars left. Bummer. By the looks of Simons photo it was a good turn out, pitty it was a bit hot, I can see why they didn't hang around. Pretty hot on the asphalt car park.
  3. Hi Guys, had a great time in Tassie as always, There is one way to describe the driving. It would be like doing 30 or 40 laps at Phillip Id each day, you can figger that out right? So I have posted all my Photos on Photo Bucket and you will have to fogive me for lots of GTR shots, it just got in the way. Everytime I got out of the car it was there. Click on the link. Cheers. PS Sorry these photos are loaded from back to front , so if you start from the end and work back it shoud be OK. http://s1012.photobucket.com/albums/af241/GL240z/
  4. That's a good idea Mick. Craig's Zed was picked up on a flat tray this morning and is on it 300 km trip to Mighty Micks Work shop.
  5. You cheeky bastard Chris. I'm here all stressed. all organized and looking forward to mighty Mick working his magic for the good of a fellow V8 Zed man. Cheers Craig. PS Any spare 3.9 LSD R200 diffs around give me a yell.
  6. Hi guys, we arrived at Port Aurther yesterday and went on the Ghost tour, good fun. This morning we al went on a boat tour around the south and saw hundreds of Dolphins riding the bow of the boat, lots of seals and cliff fasces .After lunch we headed up to White Sands via Bicheno. The place has been up dated with a huge pool and restruant and bar. And the bad news is Craig has blown his Diff in the car park and dumped oil everywhere . So he is not going anywhere . The RACV are helping us out with a truck to take it to Devonport tomorrow morning and Mighty Mick is offering his help again. We Love you Mick!!!! He is trying to grab another diff and hopefully it all comes together tomorrow . How good is this Guy Mick. Thanks Mate. Lots of love Craig.
  7. Mighty Mick drove up to Stanley with a trailer and took the car back to his work shop that night, put a new head gasket in it the next day and we picked it up that night. Thanks heaps Mick. We drove it back to Cradle Mt that night. And to day we are in Strahan. Sth west. had a great drive today, hooked up with 5 motorbike guys from Melb and tore up the road from Cradle Mt to Strahan. Awesome roads. And sat down and had a coffee with them after. Cheers Gordon.

    the last engine

So Peter, will you get a job at another work shop, and stay in the mechanical trade. will you still do back yarders? And Good luck with your job. What ever you choose.
  9. Gareth, I don't think you have anything to worry about, Carbys are Carbys , nothing like EFI. your still a Classic.
  10. Hey Scoota, we go from 5 star to 3 star so it's all good. So once you pack the zed with a few spairs , luggage some food and bits and pieces, there is no room for a tent and camping gear.lol. Some of the boys are taking there partners so they will be packed to the head lining. PS did dale ask you to come along as an on ours mechanic ?
  11. 3x 300hp outbound motors not to shabby.
  12. Hi Gareth, If your car ends up to fast, I might have to see if the MSCA will put you in the modern class. As a matter of interest what year would that sort of Carby set up fall under? It's all starting to come together for you now. Cheers Gordon.
  13. I hope this won't give Dale an unfair advantage , cursing in to much luxury makes the other boys jealous . Air con ,powersteering, good driver ability, and comfy suspension .Are the serenity.
  14. Looking good Mick. You must be driving around with a smile on your face. Look forward to seeing you on the 15 th . Cheers Gordon.
  15. Good one Johnboy, I think everyone is just hangin to get on the boat. Not long to go now.
  16. Ash ,the GTR would be about 1550kg it would be fine. But I don't need one thanks anyway. It's a good buy though. Cheers.
  17. Hi Ash, would be good for the Zed but would struggle to lift the GTR, lol.
  18. Hay Craig, your not wrong about the dinners they are excellent. Thats why Bruce took a photo of all his dinners last time we were in Tassie. LOL. good on ya Bruce.
  19. Two weeks to go, can't wait to go through 5 tanks of 98 octain fuel, use up all the rubber left on my tyres and cover my nice shinny rims with $500.00 of brake dust , topped of with about 10 pub dinners, it's gonna be great.
  20. Looked on Natsoft. Simon 1.46 and Ron 1.52, 1st and2 nd in class. Ash a 136.4 2nd in class great time Ash. And Steve ,chev Z ,a 1.47, 4th in class , well done guys, sorry if I missed any one.
  21. Man oh man, that would be as bad as it gets. The sun roof has let a lot of water in. There is a massive amount of body work to be done, will keep you busy, one of my Zeds was bad. Not that bad. And bit by bit I did a section at a time and it all came together . Best you get your self a rotisserie to do most of the bodywork, will help heaps. Best of luck.
  22. Now that would be quite scary running off the road and landing upside down in water.
  23. Hi Paul, you have done a great job on this car. When I see builds like this I am quit envious of your time and dead action. Looking really good, will be fantastic to drive.
