  1. Good idea Jake, I'm sure there will be a few cars coming from QLD, be interesting to see how much it would cost.
  2. The way I always look at it is, compare your apples with the same apples, if you can beat them then good job. Not NA with turbo etc. the NDSOC no there stuff. The classes will be right. Bearing in mind you can not cater for every single modification , not everyone gets a trophie. Just be happy to be there with all your mates and enjoy the day. Like Bluerat says if you want a trophie that bad , just bring one with you. Cheers.
  3. Can we do a group buy on the nappies ?
  4. The privileged members of the PMC racing club ! Gota love that.hahaha.
  5. Hi guys just reading a zed book I recently bought. Racing in Japan. According to the manual issued by Nissan Motorsports Department in Japan, the Z432 was also available to customers in Z432-R. The R was only 960kg with full fuel, 80kg lighter than standard 432 dispite the 100lt fuel tank instead of the60lt one fitted on all production models including theZ432. When it left the works, the R had the same engines the Z432. An auxiliary oil cooler was fitted and the R also had a different brake master cylinder, with out servo, and brake pedal assembly more suited to racing. The R also had a fiberglass front apron and bonnet instead of the steel, and Perspex windows to the sides and rear. Lightweight bucket seats with four point seatbelt for the driver.the heater, clock and radio were removed ulong with the sound deadening. An interesting addition was the fiberglass engine transmission cover and rear spoiler.Magnesium alloy wheels where initially listed as standard on the Z432 , but the R left the works on the standard 4.5J steel wheels. It also says the racing debut of the Z432 came at the Suzuka 300km Race held on the 18th Jan 1970. It goes on and on about the Zed racing history from 1970 onwards but no mention of any racing in 1969. Cheers Gordon.
  6. Hi guys, some of you may have this book. Datsun Fairlady Roadster to 280zx. First published in 2006. I have quite a few zed books but this would be one of the better ones.ATM from the Pitstop Bookshop $19.95 plus post. Good value. Free call PH 1800 622422.
  7. Stand in line Brother. There is a waiting list already. lol.
  8. Happy B,day Peter, seems you are working more than ever ATM. 40 is about half way, so when you look back on all those years gone buy, that means there are a ship load more engines to build. lol. Cheers Gordon.
  9. I to have had this happen. Used a apoxie glue, and like Gareth says be carefull with tightening the nut. I have used a rubber hose cut 5mm long and fits tightly over the bolt thread instead of a nut. Gives the vent a bit of movement .
  10. From memory it is pretty basic. Up to 2L, 2.o- 2.5L, 2.5L- 3.0L etc etc, and standard , modified and race.Something like that. But I'm sure we will find out in due course.
  11. Hi Steve, man sounds like you have a bit going on ATM. Hope it all works out ok for you. But if the right foot is working and the left hand can shift the stick, hey you can do it sitting down. lol. But seriously I no its a long way to come, and would be good to see you and the zed. But priority is to get well and live to fight another day. And that day will be 22nd of July at PI. Regards Gordon.
  12. That is great news, and a nice early announcement so everyone on this forum has just enough time to get there car ready. Lol

  15. Don't want to jump the gun Guys, the car feels. good, just won't to have some fun and do a competitive time, and Gareth I have to get a new vid camera as the old one died. Have to talk to Dimiti to see what he thinks is a good buy ATM. I could have noise issues at Sandown and may need to tread carefully ,if you now what I mean.Cheers.

Is that add for real. Save the Mainlanders.lol.
  17. An up date guys. Started her up today, wonce warm idled nicely at 1000rpm. Went for a drive and the first thing I noticed was how smooth down low it was and the torque was awesome , with a 76 high lift I didn't think it would pull clean in 5th gear from 1500rpm, was so drivable ,like a road car, for the first time I can see this car having no problem doing drive days with the guys. Putting the boot into it, she just pulled and pulled. 7500rpm in 2nd and changing into 3rd with the boot to the floor all the way to 7500rpm, woo way to fast, backed out of it and drove home with a big smile on my face. Thanks to Peter and Les Collins I have the car I was ment to have all those years ago. Going up my drive way in 2nd from 1000rpm pulled smoothly all the way to the shed, you can't beat that, so much drivability I am blowen away how much better the car is. Looking forward to Sandown . Happy face here. Cheers Gordon.
  18. It's as simple as the two cars I have in the shed. The GTR and 240.
  19. I had to check twice, I though I had bought a 240K and someone had ripped off my user name.
  20. I do both. Run them the opposite side and backward . At the end of the day just trying to get the tread ware Evan . So I use every last mm of rubber.
  21. Simon, when my re550 are half warn I get them turned around and haven't had any problems. They are to expensive not to get the most out of them.
  22. Those classes suck man. I don't no how they can justify a 1970s car equal to 2010 cars, they have rocks in there heads. Some clubs down here have changed classes to pre 1986 and post 1986 and it works well, Divides the turbo and fwd cars. On the plus side you did a PB. Well done.
  23. Yer, it's a sign of the times Unfortunatly . You just have to make your car less noisy . You have to work out the best way, Air Box , or change the exhaust .
  24. It's PMC enhanced!!
