  1. That's great news, early days yet, do you think you will drive the cars over or put them on a trailer? Would be good if you could pay the Spirit of Tassie Captain a few extra dollars and drop you of at Cowes(PI) jetty. lol.
  2. Hey guys, I did the same thing with my blue zed and you do have to put the 260 inners inside the 240 housing as mentioned above, and bobs your uncle.

    MSCA PI sprint.

Awesome Steve, look forward to seeing you. I am writing this while I watch the DDFrance, my brother and I text each other all night waiting for Cadel Evans to get some time back. Anyway I have this idea that all viczed users should make a small sticker, about half the size of a number plate of there user name and put it on the top side of the rear window for ID. Would make it easy for one another the Identify each other, especially at the Nationals. Evan print it off on A3 and cut it down then stick it on from the inside. So every time we see a zed we will know who's it is. As I know all you guys buy user name and not by sight. Some times I see Zeds at the track and wonder who's it is, would brake the Ice as to who you are. What do you guys think?
  4. Are any of you guys planing on making the trip to Phillip Island for the 2013 Nationals at Easter. Would be great if you Devils made the trip over.

    WTB: 250GTO kit

Man ,I look at that and think, there is a lot of blood sweat and tears to come. Wish you good luck.
  8. Lynton, you are a True Datsun Nissan man. And like most enthusiast , the majority of guys on this forum are just like us.
  9. I traded my first car,180B, in on a 76 260z 2+2 in 1982 and paid $6999. Was my first zed of seven. Just can't seem to get away from the Datsuns. I love em.
  10. Hi Simon ,to wet for you? we did get two runs in the dry, and lots in the wet. All went well but was to cold and wet for good times. But had heaps of fun. I counted 4zeds. The passenger session was wet, like real wet ,good fun passing cars though.
  11. Yep sounds about right. Sometimes I take the radiator out, it makes it a lot easyer ,but longer, but at least you can see what you are doing.
  12. Well done on the sale, just goes to show you, a car is worth what some one is willing to pay. This guy has a vision, just like you had. Sounds like he will enjoy the car, and everyone is happy. Cheers.
  13. Nice one Peter. When I poured the concrete for the lower shed, it was 7mx8m and worked my butt of for 3hrs to get a great finish. Came up for a half hour lunch and went down to admire my handy work and the kids had scratched there name in it and drawn stuff. Needless to say I was beside myself. Lol now. It wasn't us daddy. How come your name is in it? I don't know! Got to love it.
  14. Simon, did you say something about mushrooms! Not before the race mate.
  15. Thanks Jason. I have two sets of old Bridgestone 55es that I want to get me through to next Easter . And I will buys some new ones for the Nationals. 2K for tyres ,you have to make the most of them. Cheers Gordon.
  16. Has anyone use any tyre additive to soften old race tyres. Such as Octopus grip, and did it work? Thanks.
  17. And a little bit of wet track, just to mix it up.
  18. Sad, but true. A hotted up zed would have been awesome .From the factory.
  19. Just an up date, looks like we have about 5 Zeds entered, and the weather forecast is for showers, NDSOC are doing the BBQ. And all passengers have to be pre entered and signed up befor Sunday . Cheers.
  20. I think this is a much better venue to have the cars at. Should get a good turn out.
  21. Unfortunatly I agree with garvice, anyone looking to buy a car is looking for a bargain. We have all been down this road of spending lots of money on our pride and joy. But the reality is you will be lucky to get half of your investment back. That's just the way it is. Good luck with your sale.
  22. Nice picture of your car Johnboy, where was that taken. Hahaha.
  23. Man , was standing in the kitchen and went for a good 30 seconds, the biggest I've felt. Awesome . The hole house was shaking.
  24. Well boys, about ten years ago when sorting out my zed, some one suggested to put more caster on it. So I packed the caster bar with 4mm of washer and raced at Winton. The first race the steering was so heavy I could hardly drive the thing. Needless to say I took them out and it was like power steering. So been there and done that. Give it less caster and it will be better. Guarantee.
  25. 8 Months to go, this thread is going to get a beating, how many hits will it get befor the Nationals get under way?
