  1. Lap times? There was one particular sensational lap time that I thought would get an enthusiastic mention but nothing? The lack of interest in the results of such an iconic event is hard to understand, perhaps it's only all about me, me, me.
  2. Sounds like you need to familiarise yourself with the basics first, standard parts and their correct terminology, workshop manual for that.
  3. Long story. I had no idea what lap times with the 350Z would be, the previous owner did a 2:34 last year on slicks but I was running 200 tread wear tyres, 275's on 10" wheels. It really needs 12" but too wide for the trailer.
  4. Price required I think.
  5. Perhaps it depends on weather getting your picture taken is the only reason to attend the Z celebration and watch lots of Zeds in action at the best circuit in the world.
  6. It's open to all Zeds, 350Z's better be allowed because I'm racing one as are a couple of others. For heaps of info look at the Challenge Bathurst thread.
  7. If this goes on for much longer there will be just a pile of rust with bits of blue tape left.
  8. Mine was registered in Q as a 2+2 apparently because there was no two seater listed on their data base.
  9. If the chassis number on the plate matches the number on the chassis, whats's the problem? If it doesn't then surely there is a procedure that can be used.
  10. The cheek, taping over the rust. A bit of rewording for the ad. 'Owned by a panel beater who realised that it was too far gone to restore economically so I bought it looking for a quick buck flip.'
  11. The chassis number would have to match, not too hard to work out All two seaters were imports of course and can be registered without a compliance plate providing the required procedure is completed. I imported mine about 10 years ago.
  12. You have got yourself a bargain, great buy.
  13. A rally Z with something like Federal 595 tyres would be fine to enter.
  14. Great thread, surprised that there is not more interest coming from the L heads.
  15. Wow, this sounds great, nearly as good as our Challenge Bathurst celebration later this year LOL
  16. Price to Australia and actual weight?
  17. The circuit is opened at certain times for resident access, the Challenge Bathurst website should have more info.
  18. What a bummer but at least the LS is simple and not expensive to fix, we all run into problems when doing something like this. I don't want to 'told you so' but lubrication is crucial with the LS and, as hmd indicated, racing experience shows that an Accusump is essential unless you go dry sump. Also on mine there is a dirty big red light actuated by a 40 psi oil pressure switch as a sort of caution indicator plus a light for the Accusump. You do have plenty of time for Bathurst though, it's just a matter of using the appropriate systems. Some even have an oil pressure data readout so that can be checked in the pits.
  19. No pressure, lap times are not important LOL.
  20. We will see won't we, the V8 will of course make a difference but maybe not as much as may be thought. Learning Bathurst takes time, lots of seconds.
  21. Good show Aub, is the superstore really a proper superstore or just a glorified Supercheap.
  22. Those concentric throw out bearings can be problematical, is there a external conversion kit available? My 350Z has one.
  23. Hmmm, I get the impression that this will be ready for CB19.
  24. Yes, as already mentioned, lubrication is the LS's weak point. Plenty of beaut LS's have been trashed though a brief lack of oil pressure.
