I'm 65 and I have a 2005 Anniversary Z. its modified and presents as a Z38X, which is self explanatory to those that are familiar with Nissan Engine & Chassis codes. This project isn't absolutely complete but its been a whole bunch of fun and in the finishing and polishing stages. It has 5000 kilometers since new so its virtually showroom.. I'm a purist and reluctant to install any power sources from outside Nissan brand but I must admit the GM LS series is very interesting. Much more expensive is the VK56, but it is probably closer to my chest. I am in the market for a 1973 240Z for nostalgia/ restoration/ collectors purposes. I intend to build a collection of these and other iconic Z's and GTR's to fill my warehouse. (now that's ambitious) Its Sunday and I'm busy. Pics will follow. Is the Bathurst Event closed to the 350's? I'm thinking of going for a run with an old mate. I've never been and its probably time I had a look.

As it says: VQ35DE out of a G35 from states. I have got all I want and I bought it as a repairable writeoff. it has no front guards, doors etc but a good sunroof, excellent engine (inc starter& alternator) a manual gearbox out of my Z wheels, brakes vented, abs and controller, wiring harness and ecu no radiator but compressor forA/C most of the dash bits including (what looks like) a gps/radio whatever, wheels, good source of parts for a conversion as there are the little brackets and clips etc.. its an 06 model so its still young (and restless) electric seats etc. It was an auto so it has no clutch/flywheel but I might be able to assist. I have access to some brand new forged internals if you want to build I can assist with a highly reputable workshop that can close the deck for TT or High compression N/A. PM me for further info. I'm in China at the moment setting a few things up but will be back in Aus. on Feb10th. It is located in Central Q in my warehouse but I can take it back to Brisbane for delivery if required.
