  1. What compound and material are these lined wiith? Showing interest.
  2. As said above, no requirement to be a member of a CAMS affiliated club, unless of course you are going to participate in events a CAMS affiliated club are running. This is run solely by Qld Raceway at Lakeside. And just requires their one day license, which also doubles as their "club??" Membership, at $20 They are suggesting that each car will get 1x Qualifying/practice session, and 4 ( or more depending on stoppages) runs of Six ls per run. As sual, you do end up getting more, sometimes too much, and often, some just sit out for a run pr two, to give themselves, and their car, a bit of a breather. Aunrey, why would they want me, there are enuf ex-perts to run a team, or even multiple teams, for this event, as well as running the whole Dat-Nats shebang next year. Unless,,,, they are not fully CAMS qualified or licensed to fill in the required roles, in regard to the, whatever they are, Sprints events over the X no of days. The drags session has zip-all to do with CAMS, that makes it nice and easy!
  3. You need to reside anywhere in Qld, to sign this, Or, If you know anyone, have friends, relatives, family, etc, that live in Qld, Ask them to sign this,,, it only takes but a moment,,,,
  4. Possibly. It's a "gentle" event, and a few weeks later the Historic Club is putting on full race meeting which i will probably enter ( in the Dat2000). I'll run the 280Z in the Teams Reg event, to get my eye in. Have'nt run there since last October. I did a QR day the JapNats TimeAttack thing took out third O/R in Nat/Atmo class, circulated in 62/63's, only drama was getting turn 3 right! Historic Club also doing full race meeting at QR in October.
  5. It might work, lot of mcking around. You talking about an sedan type L6 engine twin throat downdraft carby manifold, ie 240K, 260C etc? The common fitment was a weber dcd 32/36 twin barrel downdraft, You may need to make adaptor plate tomatch carb to manifold.

  7. There is a small non-descript shed on southside of Brisbane, run by two oriental gents, knocking out these Countach kits, that the fibreglass moulds have been modified/shortened ( from original longer Countach) to fit steaight onto a VW Beetle floorpan with stock 45 hp VW Beetle engine. Their comment, " Engine is in the back, so our car is like real Countach, you buy now!"
  8. Thanks chaps. Wildy55 on here today was hunting for a 240 console, with the pm's being sent, and no "public" on forum posts stating " i'll take it" etc, he missed out. So, it should be if someone posts up an item, then we should post up our intent, for others to see, then go to private messages to finalise. Could'nt be fairer?
  9. Oi, Public post on forum, in first, then i pm'ed. Naff off.
  10. I'll buy that. Pm me your details etc i'll do a bank transfer, add a bit for postage!
  11. My one is sold, payment pending.
  12. Have now emailed pics to both Wildy and SilentRa. Shoot me your best offer on ot
  13. How mch money do you want to buy a car for? How much money will you then have to fix any issues?
  14. Got a console hete in Brissy.
  15. And whack a Disco Potato onto it, with 4" exhaust stack,,,,,, straight up through the bonnet,,,,
  16. Roll on floor laffing, out louds,,, , Sam's in Melbourne, Loki is in Brisbane!
  17. Unless you are going to move the rear subframe, that these T3 arms mount onto, you are not going to get any form of castor adjustability. The rear subframes can have the mount holes elongated, on each side, which gives the ability to shove each side fore/aft. The T3 rear arms, are fixed pivot on inboard end, and adjustable at outboard, to give camber, and toe. To try and achieve perfect matching gaps between tyres and guard lips, will result, often, in totally screwed up rear alignment. It is a common fix to cut and shut a stock rear arm, to alter toe, especially after an accident, where the body mount points can be shifted due to impact. The only issue in elongating the rear frame mount holes, is, it could get moved the wrong way when subjected to normal drive forces, the solution, weld up the elongated holes, so they become a new ho E, in the slightly different lcation. We do similar on front crossmember to get front LCA's inners upwards and outwards.
  18. Ahh,,, no. You can fit eccentric bushes to the inneres, but you do not get very mch adjustment. The suggestion of adding castor to one side or other, or both, on the rear, using fully rose jointed adjustable lower arms, Is done how? Toe and camber, yes definately.
  19. 3sp and 4 sp Autos both have same top gear ratio, 1:1. A shorter diff will def improve acceleration in both, but you'll have a slightly higher engine rpm at highway cruise speeds, by a few hundred rpm's. And use a bit more fuel. But at least it wont be as sluggish through the gears in the suburban traffic light grand prix!
  20. What s seen, can not be unseen.
  21. They are $7k from Crankshaft Engineering in Melbourne, will do what you want. Hollow pins, knife edged, full or partial weights, longer flywheel register, etc.
  22. It did not sell on this forum! It went via a dirt rally forum, those guys know value when it comes by. I've got one, it's an Albins though, closer ratios, could be persuaded to let it go, like everything else!
  23. Absolute epic write up. That should be made into a Manga storybook! Welcome, and, yes, another Brisbane member! Question,,, whats the red car in the shed, behind the guy in the pic above, its got old svhool Hurricane rims and a flare arch?
  24. All up, i have taken a bit over 14 kgs out of the whole rotate/reciprocate mass, that is, front balancer, crank, rods pistons, flywheel and clutch assy. Combined, this gives good response to throttle, and there is still plenty torque, except for the funny little dip at around 4100, but that is a camshaft thing. All sucking through a single stock injection TB.
  25. Yeah Gareth, 3-5 kgs is about it, i have to use stock stroke L28 cranks in the Sc car, so they are a bit lighter than the LD jobbies. ( oh,, and isn't everything bigger better lighter fadter etc in the land of the World Series of everything,,,, that only gets played in that land !! - them Muricans!)
