  2. a big tap on the shoulder.....now there is an idea... That would be so convenient for washing your hands after working on the car!
  3. why not go the whole enchilada?
  4. How did you go with this? All sorted?

    Spotted Brisbane

it doesn't sound like one of the owners I know. It could be the third one I mentioned........If the owner is reading this please say hi
  6. I am no expert I am only repeating what I read last night. But I read that removing the thermostat can make the system less efficient as the coolant moves too quickly and doesn't allow proper heat sink. I guess thats why 3 core radiators are better because the coolant spends longer in the radiator.

I think there are 3 or 4. I know the owners of 2 and I've seen a third at Castledine. What colour was it? Any spoilers etc?
  8. I love the shot with the windscreen masked up. I vote to leave it that way....armoured van style By the way does this mean you'll be using the glass bumpers soon? Its looking great
  9. I am planning to have perspex copies made of my side windows. But I suspect these copies would not be acceptable for 26 ounce.
  10. is it possible to have some made? some auto glaziers advertise the replacement of side glass. I suspect You would need to retain the attachment for the winder mechanism
  11. hands off, its mine ...............Now, where to find the other $1,249,990 ?
  12. none of their cars are replicas and most raced and were sucessful at the highest levels of motorsport. MY fav is the GT40 but you probably already guessed that.
  13. lol, rust issues.... it goes, it goes, it goes, its gone
  14. They had over 50 historically significant cars so these pics only give a sample.
  15. Here are some pis from Bowdens. Enjoy
  16. The main difference is the ECUs are different and have different pins in the plug. If you are running an RB then this probably won't make any difference to you.
  17. My trolley jack is playing up. Keeps letting the car down. Sometimes it lets the car down just as quick as I am pumping it up. Any suggestions? Is it a matter of replacing an O ring?? or putting more fluid in??? Or is it just shot? I hope not, it is only a couple of years old.
  18. They are different. The differences may be subtle but they exist. It might be possible to allow for the differences if you were able to identify them. Can I ask what you are planning?
  19. Hey Steve, be careful, don't bag Bridgestone too much. Don't forget when tyres get to 4 or 5 years old it really does impact their grip. The lack of grip you were experiencing is likely to be the age of the tyres not necessarily the brand.
  20. so pull the back seats out
  21. Last I heard they were $450 but that was a few years back....I did say around $500......give or take %50 There is a place specialising in dash restoration here in Brisbane (southside) http://www.dashboardrestorations.com.au/general_info.htm Rarespares also used to assist with this type of service (obviously they don't do it themselves). I know I sound vague because I haven't looked into it for a few years.
  22. Welcome. I have never heard of a rh dash cap for a 280zx only for the earlier zeds. You can get the dash restored for around $500.
  23. Those wheels are nice. Just be aware that spacers are illegal in QLD.
  24. Steve, Check the weight of that camper. I believe as far as campers go they are light but even so I expect it will weight 600-800 KG. Just keep in mind that you are adding more than 50% to the car's weight. It won't make for pleasant motoring. Having said that once its unhooked you have your car back for trips around your base camp
  25. I had the privalage to view the Bowden collection here in QLD. It might not have the same callibre of super cars but it more than makes up for it in history. Lots of Bathurst winners and genuine race vehicles (cobras and and a GT40). You haven't seen or heard a real engine till you've experienced a running GT40. WOW!!! Awsome. I'll try and post some pics.....if I can find them.
