Like I said before Jason, Toluene can seriously effect for health. Please use a respirator and the correct PPE when you are splashing it around on race day. Do it for your family's sake, their might not be much left to save soon ;D

So your driveshaft itself hasn't snapped in half, your bolts have sheared?? Could have been loose for a while and stretching the bolts until they snapped. You should have noticed a clunky drivetrain for a little while.

Just a quick heads up for those with a smart phone. A mate just bought an Iphone and I was filling him in at work today about all the features etc. I was showing how taking a photo records the GPS co-ordinates of where the photo was taken, and then you can view where the photos were taken on a map of Australia or even the world etc. It was then I noticed that a couple of photos in my album are ones I have been sent from people through internet forums who have messaged me photos of parts etc to my phone, and other photos are ones I have ‘saved’ from internet forums that other people have posted (possibly using their smart phone). I was able to zoom in to the exact location that these photos were taken and get the address. If you were a scoundrelous dirt bag, you could use this information along with info someone might post on a forum about “going on holidays” etc to get up to no good. More filthier minds could even use this info for worse scenarios, but I won't go there. This may be an issue that could be rectified in the future, or it could be the future. You have been warned.

Well I've got two ls1 powered cars, one with cats and one without and the fumes are completely different. And it's not a fuel smell.

Is it also the fact that you now use normal unleaded petrol (or premium) without running cat convertors?

Get of those Chinese ones with the make an offer option. Offer way less and they'll take it. Redrill the mounting holes when you get it and you're laughing.

And how big is the factory turbo on that

Are you quoting factory specs at the engine there, or have you had your V6 on a dyno? The reality is the V6 probably makes more power than your old V8 does at the moment, whilst using half the amount of petrol. Get an exhaust done and tune the thing as best you can and appreciate that its not in a heavy car so it should still be fun. Dont waste your money trying to get more power out of the 308.

Speaking of 'those' batteries, anyone have any tips for a good one? I usually buy the century ones from auto stores that go flat while they sit for weeks at a time. I want one that will hold its charge for ages and keep the cranking power etc.

I think to pass an inspection, if the battery is an acid type, the battery box needs to be able to vent to the exterior due to it being in the cabin, as apposed to in the boot etc.

Ha what a legendary vid. I'd love to know what sort of mount you have for your iphone, to be able to mount it and move it around to record your vids etc. I want to get one too.
