  1. I will be dropping in for sure. Will have wife and mini me also.
  2. Guess I will attend under the Nissan Car Club Aust. banner then. Kudos to me
  3. Just got my newsletter from the Nissan Car Club and they have been invited to the annual Nissan Datsun Sports Owners Club Show and Shine (Concours d' Elegance). They have also invited the Sports Roadsters Club, Classic Skylines and Prince Skyline Register. Maybe AusZcar could get an invite aswell, as this is an opportunity for members of all clubs to display thier vehicles and promote their particular club. Event details: Sunday November 15th 2009 9.30am to 3.00pm at New Quay- Docklands Entry $5 per vehicle I have contact details if you like?
  4. Box was built by Jesse Robison's father. Jesse rallies a 260Z in the VRC/VCRS series ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-3UxxX0S7U ) and his father has a very trick little workshop setup. He just cut off both bell housings and rewelded L housing onto the RX8 box. I can try and get some contact numbers for you if you like.
  5. I know a bloke running an RX8 6 speed in his 79' Skyline. Box cost him $600 and to get the L series bell housing cut off and welded in place onto the Mazda box cost another $400. 5th gear is 1:1 with 6th overdrive.
  6. I can check for you. Is it just the loop pile or a plush? EDIT: Unless you want persian or shag pile they want be much help.
  7. Did you see Lurch's new welder? (eyes wandering to the background)
  8. Hard to believe that this is one mans garage, some cars are stacked 2 high. View this first and at the bottom is a link to his own website. http://69.89.25.185/~trexsoft/t-rexsoftware.com/buzzandjackie/collection.htm As a child, cars played a big part of Rick Treworgy's life. Models, pedal cars, any toy with 4 wheels inspired him. Once he was old enough, Rick began collecting GM cars, Chevys in particular. After nearly 40 years of turning that dream into a reality and stockpiling well over 200 vintage '50s to early '70's muscle cars, he decided to turn this amazing collection into Muscle Car City
  9. I would be having a go at the person that done the wheel alignment too. I always checked the front end inc. wheel bearing before doing an alignment on any vehicle.
  10. Replaced the door seal's yesterday with a product supplied by my fathers business. I was able to do both door's for half the price of other suppliers. I can get this in 100mtr lengths if anyone else is interested. Door now shut with a nice airtight THUD. I haven't done the rear qtr popout windows yet but they use the same seal.
  11. And you say my comment was confusing. We havn't answered his question yet either.
  12. Taken from Geelong newspaper. A snail, tired of his reputation for being so slow, decides to buy a fast car: a 240Z. The snail tells the car dealer he wants to buy the 240Z, but wants it rebadged '240S'. The dealer asks, "why 'S'?" The snail replies, 'S' stands for snail. I want everybody who sees me to know who is driving." So the snail gets his new car and spends the rest of his days roaring down the highway at full speed. And whenever anyone sees him zooming by, they say "Wow! Look at that S-car go!"
  13. The R180 in my 1600 had the half shafts with the input attached via a single centre bolt whereas the R200 in my Z has the four bolt flange type same as the R160. If that makes sense.
  14. I gota do this swap. I keep hearing how much better it is. Anyone got one ?
  15. What about some video? This one shows the rear spoiler from side on and the back.
  16. Thanks Craig. And well done to all involved, it's great. Love Lurch dancing on the table
  17. Where abouts are you mounting the external wastgate? Looking good by the way.
  18. Yeah second that point. My stock manifold was not going to get put back on the way it was and I needed some pretty quick. I can not justify spending more than $300 when i am only going to get it out on sunny weekends for a spin. And it's no race car either. But if I were single with no kids, mortgage or commitments then that would be different. Each to their own.
  19. The plugs were on OE manufacturing thing, they were also in the uni joints. Just replace them with regular grease nipples and leave them in for next time.
  20. If the carbs are running way to lean then it will idle very rough if at all. When you pull the choke on, the carbs richen the mixture in effect correcting the ratio which is why it idles better. I just found that out when tuning mine on the weekend. The balance pipe accross the top of the manifold, these can leak where they mount. Just a thought.
  21. I have just fitted some of these from eBay (seller rod_mph), see my coments at the bottom of the page here -http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,4323.15.html
  22. I hope you have as much fun as I am with mine. I like getting cars that are a challenge and just need time, patience and a few bits replaced to get them going right. Take your time doing bits and learning as you go.
  23. Day-glow orange I thought?
  24. This is as good a photo i could get with my crappy 3.2mp camera.
