  1. Hello everyone...bit on. The Zed has been kicked out of home and been shipped off to 'Uncle Leeroys finishing school for waywood big girls' and the little master is going great guns!! We should see a noise out of the thing in a few week's. He's plumbing in the injection, doing the injection wiring and fixing/shifting basically everything I've done in the past 4 years!! I've sold the M48 and purchased a new M84 Motec, which I'm told is the duck's gut's..My accountant and I are wishing we brought a set of 48mm Webers about now, but they all tell me I'll love the injection when it's done...hhhmmmm dun-no! Anyway a pretty cool aside, young Fletcher Brownrigg, Rogers 9 year old son popped around for his first look at the car he had heard so much about and loved it, we've booked it in for his leavers dinner in 7 years time.. Just waiting on a new pair of brake master cyln, Clutch cyln and handbrake cyln to come from the US and the brakes will be finished, the diff's a problem with the shimming etc proving a tough puzzle to nut out, so we've popped in a R200 3.7 in to get us up and running, Cheers Weldy! As soon as we get it fired and tuned it will be off to panel beater to finish off and fix a few stone chip's. Working very hard t make it to PI for the Nats.... Cheers Hodgo
  2. Can I have the Chev for the Hiace then Mick.....
  3. Sounds like you need a MGB big fella......
  4. Good work Ledge, can't wait to see it.
  5. And the other two...
  6. A big well done to Mick, He cleaned up the NWCC Black Tack series this year with both a solid class and Outright win, Top Job!! Also we've had the last two events for the year with Mick scoring a couple of Class wins. We had a couple of other Zed's competing, one the ex 'Grunge' Reader car which has been sold and now doing a few events and a trick looking Metallic Blue 260z, that ran into the wall at Highcleare...bugger Hodgo
  7. A couple of photo's from Yesterdays Lap Sprint at Symmons....
  8. Love your work Jase!!!! LOL. Got to Luv it Mr Fast...your the first person to mention a Nissan!! so much for a Datsun site...
  9. Hey DET, Buy a Cruiser, fuel economy is totally irrelevant mate. Safety and performance should be your priorities with a tow car. Our's is hooked up to a float or a car trailer almost full time nowdays. I've been in two accident's in Family type cars over the years towing race cars, bloody scary, but never had a wiggle or a moment out of the big girl. Mr's Bluerat does 1000's km a year towing the horse float and the Cruiser is a real peace of mind, plus get's you out of wet paddock's and great to take fishing. Hodgo
  10. So what's the story with the DR30 LZ turbo? Was it a Homologation special? same basic engine as the N/A LZ? Was it a stop gap before they brought out the FJ? Very Interesting... Cheers, Hodgo
  11. No such thing as Red over-kill Roberto....too much is just enough!!
  12. It's a small world fella's!! I popped over to the big Island over the weekend to catch the Muscle Car Masters Meeting in Sydney and, as you do, noticed a very quick blue 1600 giving the big boy's a scare in Nc... Sooo very late Sat arvo, no one about thought hhmmm might have a sticky beak at this thing and with half my body under the back of it I here this booming voice...Oh sheeeet, I better do some quick talking here...turns out it wasn't the owner, phew, and they guy seemed to know what he was on about, he mentioned he worked with Les Collins...hold it a minute, It's not, can't be...yep Pirate Peter Mac, nice to meet ya big fella. Shame you couldn't be about on Sunday for another catch up. When do you want me to send over a L16 block for a going over? This Nc thing looks like fun!! Cheers Hodgo Oh yeah Zed is going along great gun's..but dont want to bore you with..I've bolted this bit on, then this bit, oh and then this bit...
  13. Hey guy's. It's right in the middle of rally season down here so I've got a bit excited and posted a few more Zed rally shot's. The yellow car is Phil Smith's 240z from the early 90's, which at the time was a big dollar, best of everything car. It was leading the Tas Championship with one round to go...aganst some very quick 4wd's (Les Walkden was one..) and was sadly wrote of in a road accident. Smithy now live's on the Sunshine coast in Qld and about to drag it all out of the storage container and do a re-build... The white Zed is Jessie Robison, although Victorian, he's often down here Rallying his beloved 1600. The Zed is owned by his Dad and I'd say the photo's are from the Alpine in 2010. Jessie's not afraid to have a crack!! And lastly a couple more of mine in action when Roger was racing it, first one was Targa '98 and the next is the Saxon Safari '97 which was Tassies ARC Round.
  14. Okey Dokey Pal
  15. It's all about torque multiplication fella's.... If you lived in Tassie Chris, I'd happly lend you mine to try.
  16. Hey Guy's, bit off topic, but I've often wondered why Jap spec badges are in English, not Jap Script, Kanji? hhhmmm
  17. Hope so, Coral's a multiple Australian Rally Champ and Mollys the next Michele Mouton!!
  18. Just wondering if anyone out there has a spare 6 manifold washers, as per the below photo, Cheers Hodgo

  20. Thanks for that
  21. G'day Do you guy's bring the below wheels in to Australia? They were in your magazine advert but not on your website? Cheers Hodgo
  22. This sounds Like a job for.....MIGHTY MICK!
  23. Slip him an extra ten'a, LOL At this stage I'll drive the Zed and the Criuser on, and hire a trailer in Melb If I need one, it's around $1700 to bring over a trailer on the boat..see how the budget looks when it gets a bit closer? Really looking foward to the track day, I've heard the BMW boy's have the track on Sunday, I should bring over Mrs Blue's 535 and have a run both days?? bugger the show thingy,LOL
  24. Looking good Gordo, Mick is planning to come as well, hoping to get Scando to come as pit crew. I was thinking to book the boat nice and early due to Easter rush.
