  1. I notice there is some 10mm odd holes in the aluminum backing plate Scoota. Are these a mistake? Do they let un-filtered air into the air box? Or do they allow access to adjustments screws on the carbies? Looks special by the way.
  2. I thought as much, I will check it out tomorrow. I have 6 days off.
  3. I have not trialed the 1/4 mile function in my zed yet, I have just been using it as my speedometer. When I get my tailshaft and half shafts back from geting new universals I will post up some times.
  4. Where is the IC ignition box located?
  5. nism0zed I think you were a little unfair on the 2+2 with the photo you posted. LOL. Here is a picture of a nice looking 2+2 these cars can look good. I tried to find the silver one with flares from ireland but I could not.
  6. Try these pieces of software, you can trial them. I currently use GPS Performance on my Mio A701 GPS phone. Buying the software online is safe and secure too. Harry's GPS LapTimer Professional http://www.pocketgear.com/en_US/html/display_product.jsp?categoryId=&srcPage=searchResults&id=prod6592611&sf=48190044 http://www.gps-laptimer.de/ JFMStudios's GPS Performance 1.01.004 http://www.pocketgear.com/en_US/html/display_product.jsp?categoryId=&srcPage=searchResults&id=prod5480769&sf=48190044 GPS Performance is a must have application for people with performance cars interested in performance statistics. Using a regular GPS receiver and sophisticated alorythms, GPS Performance is able to accurately measure 1/4 mile dashes and 0..60 timings. Circuits can be defined for timing laps and up to 5 split times per track can be added. Of course the runs are fully configurable, allowing custom distances and speed ranges to be specified, and tracks are created simply by driving around the circuit. Each type of run has its own memory, storing the last ten runs (100 runs for lap times). The best time and average time are displayed. Different runs can be plotted and overlayed against each other using an informative graph. G forces for recorded runs can also be plotted and compared. Use GPS Performance to discover exacly what your car is capable of and boast to your friends. Use it to perform 'before and after' runs to test performance modifications such as sports air filters and sports exhausts. It can also be used to detect small changes in performance to give early indications of possible engine problems. Features: Lap Times including split times with 100 lap memory Accelerations Times such as 0..60 or 30..70 Distance Times such as 1/4 mile Avergage Run Times Best Run Times Graph plots for all runs MPH or KPH Graphically overlay up to 10 runs together for comparison G-Force calculation Portrait and Landscape supported Time and Date stored with each run CLICK ON THE PICS BELOW THERE IS A SERIES OF GIF IMAGES IN EACH
  7. Dimitri I are you sure it is not the negative side? I will do some more reading.
  8. I use a MIO A701 as my in car computer. It has GPS, Camera, Windows Mobile, MP3, Phone, 4GB memory etc. This is all connected to the stereo with an FM Transmitter. The Mio GPS software also has speed cameras, red light cameras and school zones etc. You can also find a particular store and choose to go to it or ring them. http://www.mio.com/au/gps-navigation-products-a701-specifications.htm I use a program called GPS Performance automatic Acceleration Timings, Distance Timings and Lap Timings, it even draws a map of the track you are on. http://www.pocketgear.com/en_US/html/display_product.jsp;jsessionid=HP5LmkQfhQblddptNTsFFLLPpfVMt3xqlxXQ5ThclyQQr7k1kD2V!77023183?categoryId=cat4500073&srcPage=category&id=prod5480769&sf=48190044
  9. The above is a quote out of a ebay auction. Currently I have a Monster Tacho installed in my 240Z. I have a electronic dizzy and have a coil that does not use a ballast resistor. Do I have to install a resistor to make the original 240Z tacho work correctly? Sorry I do not have clearer pics I will try and get some better pics later.
  10. Pissing My Self Laughing Dimitri.
  11. Very true Mick, I drive through two Targa stages on the way to work. Fill in the poll I am figuring we will get an all time high of 5 members, but I could be wrong.
  12. Fill in the poll if you are from Tassie.
  13. Just eat ya Weetbix in the morning and you will be right. The steering is not too heavy in zed cars, You will find you have no need for power steering once you are rolling.

How much is this duplicate going to cost?
  17. hey bluerat could you give a copy of what you have to Wombat and get him to deliver it to me?
  18. I wish I lived closer Rev I would get you to help me with my paint job. I took my tailshaft and half shafts into a mate of mine who is the director of a engineering company here in Tas, He has a sandblasting booth and painting facilities. His shift foreman is also a ex panel beater. I have organised with him to work on my car at his factory, I will be working with his mechanic and shift foreman. I hope to learn heaps out of this.
  19. Read the guide on http://www.zhome.com/ before you jump in and buy that car. Especially the links on common rust areas etc. Remember it is a 2+2 and has a slightly longer wheel base with 4 seats. The difference between a 2+2 and 2 seater can easily be picked up by the rear quarter window having a flatter top edge and the hatch does not sweep back as smooth as the 2 seater version. I think you will be happy with this 2+2 and will be a good base and introduction for you. I started with a 2+2. If I were you I would try ring the bloke who is selling the car on ebay and offer him $1500 for the car and see if he accepts it. Of course make sure you look over the car good. Get him to send you more photos of the rust affected areas and the engine bay. Tell him you want to know everything that needs addressing in the car, so you do not have any hidden suprises when you get it. Maybe a helpful member on this site may help you by looking over the car for or with you. Try posting in the QLD forum on this site.
  20. Welcome to the forums, Here is a 260Z 2+2 that could be an ideal introduction to the S30 for you. and at only $1800 it is a good price. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/datsun-260z-2-2-coupe_W0QQitemZ270288820084QQihZ017QQcategoryZ2030QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
