  1. They weren't for a Patrol were they? very odd and I think they may not fit in a zed..
  2. Is the cam an aftermarket or reground? If you have access to a standard cam, I'd install one and see what happens.
  3. A choice missing would be C: Why? I'm sure if there was an advantage in their use there would be a whole thread dedicated to them. The tried and tested Hitatchi carb is the one to stick to. Might as well install a 186 Holden red engine to go with the Strombergs..
  4. I know it's posted in the free to good home section, but a donation to the site would be appreciated! I have a 12" Davies Craig thermo I no longer need so if anyone wants to make a donation to the site, its theirs! I can post it out so just PM me your address and I'll send it out when I can. Thanks.
  5. The amp meter was changed to a voltmeter with the alternator light in the later 260's. Not sure if all 260's came with the console lid or if everyone removed them as they were prone to breakage.
  6. Unless you are planning on doing any curcuit work, I would'nt bother.. The diffs seem to suffer more with heat than gearbox's.
  7. Oh dear...got dish?
  8. Welcommen, Look forward to the pics!
  9. Looks nice with the wheels...even the letterbox is excited
  10. +1..they made my ally radiator and fixed it up when it was 75% blocked... good work.
  11. My lost parts I swear get sent to another dimension; lost years ago and never will be found again.
  12. For you Simon, for the help the other night, I'll gladly give you another set for free.. Thanks again!
  13. Hardest part is to try and drill a good sized hole right in the middle of the broken stud; maybe a 4-5mm drill? Then the EZ out can be tightened in (left hand thread!) and hopefully with the broken stud on the end of it. Use a centre punch to help with the start of the drilling. Come around when you can and I'll give you a stud..
  14. Doing a shed cleanout, I have pedals (Clutch and brake) and all associated bolts/springs for a manual conversion. Can be posted easier than a whole pedal box! Asking $80 for the setup, and $20 for postage should cover all states. Thanks
  15. I have some spare studs Gareth...with the broken stud, I do have some Re-coil equipment that helps to drill the center of the broken stud for an EZ out but manifolds have to be removed..
  16. Are they the one's that need the hub machined to match the zed hub?
  17. Ahh..very good... just need some $$ now!
  18. I have some 2+2 doors I have to get rid of quick! All the doors have little to no rust and some are complete with frames, glass and trim etc. Some have the late 76-77 style latch and others are the earlier 240 / early 260 type. There are left and right sides so let me know what you are after. Thanks ..Price range from $50-100 each.
  19. Well done capturing those zeds! Is that Z432 Kat's from HybridZ? Plate looks familiar.. You're the zed paparazzi!
  20. Happy Birthday Gav... we should sacrifice a Commodore in his honor..
  21. Happy B'day Peter, Lurch should be showing you some "gifts" soon if you want them..
  22. I have three here you are more than welcome to. I'm in Moorabbin area so grab em before they too get scrapped!
  23. Don't think I'll be doing much loading on Saturday, so Sat night will be ok for me. I'm thinking doing all the work Sunday morning..what's the avg temp in the morning? 1C or 2?
  24. Multimeters don't always show whats really happening; It may be just reading a very small current (or voltage) coming through but not enough to light the headlights if there is a high resistance connection at the fuse. Remove them and squeeze the fuse clips a tad and re install the fuses. Start a process of elimination.
