  1. Avoid the cheap ezy out's...or else you will have to buy another ezy out to remove the other ezy out to remove the original bolt! You can always drill as much of the original bolt out until there is very little of it left then re tap the hole. Might be very hard since the head bolts are high tensile..Oh, try some brake fluid on it to help remove it..
  2. If they have rivets, drill them out carefully. I've seen many ways of how they should be fastened..not sure how it was done from factory?
  3. I'd be checking the fusible links very thoroughly again. How did you check them? Best tool to check with is a 12v test light; make sure you have power at both ends of the link and remove and replace them and check they are clean without any corrosion.
  4. Would love to be there...give em hell!
  5. I know it's purely a race car but I'd only drive it on weekends anyway a Porsche 956; always loved the look even when I was a kid.
  6. As stated, I have an original, uncracked dash from a 260Z. Does have gauges and glove box, but from memory is missing something small..it's not with me now but stored at my friends shop (40 mins away). I can get pics but not right now. If anyone is interested please contact me...only conditions are I need instant payment (Pref DD over the counter) and before Sunday. Asking $550 Thanks
  7. Would like to leave with plenty of light till I reach the border.. see what happens!
  8. Well that explains it.. if not we can start a state wide search when were there this weekend..
  9. Good thing is you aren't stuck with them for life...you can get them painted if you change your mind.. I'd go for it.
  10. Just have to renew my CAMS licence and I'll do my best to be there; got to test the new powerplant.
  11. Don't stress too much about it.. It's like installing exy speakers and slipping with the screwdriver and ripping a nice hole in the cone and / or the suspension material.
  12. I've seen other bars added from the strut tops going down diagonally to roughly where the bottom of the radiator is to "box up" that huge space of an engine bay.
  13. Congratulations!!
  14. +1 for that...as they are LHD, their passenger side regulators would be hardly worn so it would be like you have a new one in your drivers side!
  15. Thought I better post up the results of my new fresh L24 rebuild...150rwKw from 2627cc's! Its great to hear that good ol' induction noise that I have missed for many years.. :'(
  16. Welcome Deranged, I think you will fit in well...lots of modified zeds on this site! How can you have enough of EFI? A multiple throttled V8 is on my to-do list....eventually!
  17. If the fuel is even months old it will run like crap...when you have it running put a video up on youtube so we can have a looksy as well as a listen!
  18. Haha...should be a nice viewing!.. well done
  19. Which alternator was it? My memory is so bad......what were we talking about?
  20. As above, looking for four s/h tyres 205-55x16 to mount onto my spare set of wheels.. As long as they are roadworthy, don't care if the are close to the tread wear indicator as long as they have some life left in them (and not 15 years old). If you need cash or some spare Z parts, I can help. Thanks!
  21. I'll be in the ACT this weekend, might have to drop by and have a peek!
  22. Welcome James, Keep us up to date when you start a build thread..should be interesting!
  23. One of those things that I can't explain...years ago my first after school job was being a bicycle mechanic! The shop was in Malvern and I remember one of the top of the line mountain bikes was this one. In it's day it was retailing for around $1200 and I wanted one badly but never got a chance...so next best thing is to chase one up when who knows, most of them have been scrapped by now! I found a close one nearby at a bike recycling shop that sell second hand bikes (for only $50) but its a slightly later model. You never know what turns up..
  24. You didn't waste much time Rev! haha. I should send you some "Euro Spec" taillights to make it that bit different to all the others..Hope all is well for you there.
  25. You don't still have it do you? or know where it is? lol
