  1. A small petite blonde is on her way with your "gift".
  2. Gareth, Gerhard runs a rear bar also but has a small diameter front bar. Spring rates though on his vary only by around 20 lbs from front to rear. You have a rather large differnece from front to rear but it seems to be working fine around the island.. You just have to run the car now with the extra camber and see what happens and change things if needed.
  3. Try and not miss this one....
  4. If you have a too large front and big rear sway bar, on my 240Z it suffered from snap oversteer; everything is fine then you find yourself facing oncoming traffic in a blink of an eye. I disconnected my rear bar, now there is only a hint of understeer.
  5. Also, unless the headlights are clear, the pattern on the lens will affect the light from the fog/driving lamp anyway. Best option is to mount the fog lights low near the spoiler and just leave the headlights alone. Cheapest way I think.
  6. Good to hear progress is being made Fu, with the indicator, try and give it a extra bit of oomph when you activate it and see if that makes it work. Thats what happens with my indicator stalk also. The switch can be dissasembled and contacts cleaned...bit of a PITA though.
  7. Rev, I think you are doing the Aust zed community a huge favour by restoring some avg cars and "releasing" them back out onto the roads. Zeds that would've been scrapped or worse.
  8. To find out the amps, formula is P=VA. 110 watts= 12v x 9.17A. So an extra load of 9 amps will be added with those fog lights.
  9. Daaaaammm..I was at the wrong show! Shame its 1000 kays away!
  10. Good to hear Jane.. Good to catch up with some members also.. Xmas BBQ coming up soon so we can do it all again!
  11. Looks very yummy Chris! Would love to hear it now. I may be coming to Canberra later in December so I may have a chance then. hehehe
  12. Hopefully most of the rain falls tonight and the predict showers in the morning. If it's showering in the morning, it usually clears by late morning.
  13. I'd disconnect the rear brake lines and depress the pedal (slowly) and make sure plenty of fluid comes out with no restriction. Just make sure the reservoir doesn't run out of fluid. Could it be rear prop valve?
  14. Hope all goes well... LUCKY you aren't in Melbourne today; you will be needing scuba gear.
  15. Are the Webers 40 or 45's? Steve Newing sells some nice looking (and functional) velocity stacks for the carbs. From memory around $250 for a set of 6. Anodised blue or I think red and in silver.
  16. If you plan on tracking your zed, my list would be 1. tyres 2. brakes 2b. both 1+2 together would be great! 3. suspension 4. seats / harness 5. engine cam, induction etc 6. LSD diff Suspension is third because I assume you have a good setup to begin with not shocks that are worn / rooted or soft saggy original springs. If so, replace before tyres! Further engine mods is when you have reached the limit of your setup; track times are consistent..
  17. Welcome Erik, Would love to see pics of your zed; especially if you have copied the works rally 240's of that period. How soon are you coming over? There is always something happening around for you to see plenty of zeds.
  18. I strapped a couple of rare earth magnets to my filter when I was running in my L28.. very good idea
  19. Welcome Grant, Turning up in a Commodore will get you a good ol' fashioned stoning.....better bring the zed..
  20. Yeah, I'll be attending. You have to be there before 9am or else you can't go in..(public liability thing strikes again!)
  21. Ahh..you're making me jealous! A trip to Japan is on my list...even for a week would be great.. very soon though.
  22. When I had my Rb with the ITB's, I used a cable from a TR Magna. I still have it hanging in my garage. Its a bit short if the throttles are on the passenger side or towards the front of the engine.
  23. Z32 calipers and Ford discs.. bit of engineering but work very well.
